Chapter 6

(A.N) Sorry I haven't uptdated in a while. I have had a bunch of homework I had to complete and a massive writers block. But I'm back and will try to post the next chapter soon.

"Gryffondor" the hat shouts.

Shouts and cheers erupt from the table from which I think is Gryffondor, so I go over there. I find Hermione and sit down next to her.

"Yay. We're in the same house! We are going to be living together for the next 7 years of our lives!" We yell to each other.

"But then again we do have to live with them" I say pointing my finger to Harry and Ron who is stuffing his face with all the delicious food.

Then I start eating. The food is magnificent. I swear the castle must have famous chefs cooking it. Maybe I should try to sneak into the kitchen to see if Gordon Ramsey or Jamie Oliver's in there. That would be a dream come true. We quickly finish up the food and it disappears off the table. Then Professor Dumbledore comes up to the front of all the tables and gives a speech to all of us.

"Just a few announcements now that we're all fed and watered. I have a few start of term notices to give to you. First years and some of you other students(he said this part looking directly at Fred and George) should note that the forest in the grounds is forbidden to all pupils."

He finally took his eyes off the Wesley twins and continues on.

"Mr Filch has asked me to remind all of you that no magic should be used out side of classrooms, in the hallways or on another student."

"Quiditch trials for the house teams will begin next week. Anyone interested in playing should go speak to Madame Hooch."

"And finally as a new rule this year, the third floor corridor on the right hand side is out of bounds to all of you who do not wish to have a very gruesome death."

"Is he serious!" I say to Hermione who is looking down at her agenda and scribbling down all the rules.

"Well he must be. He doesn't like he is kidding around. So I say we follow the rules and don't go in there so we don't get expelled"

"I wonder what's in there" Harry Potter says finally talking to us. "I don't know about you but I want to find out."

Secretly I wonder what's in there too, but I don't voice that aloud because I know Hermione's reaction to that would be.

"Harry! No way! It's too dangerous! You could be killed!" She says. Yeah knew that was coming.

Then Ron's brother Percy tells us to follow him to Gryffondor tower and the dorms. He shows us some corridors and then chose us the corrider we are not alowed in. then we finally get to Gryffondor tower.

"Boys to the right first door. Girls to the left first door aswell. All of your stuff will be there. First classes start tomorrow morning at 8:55am. Be on time or you will lose house points." he tells us, then he leaves up the side to the boys dormitory.

Hermione and I rush to the steps to go up to our dorm room and start to up pack our stuff when three other girls come up the stairs.

"Hi I'm Lavender Brown half blood, and this is Pavarti and Padma Patil."

The two girls who stand behind her wave and I smile back earning myself a glare from Lavender Brown.

"Hi I'm Emma Longbottom and this is Hermione Granger." I say back politely.

"And I don't care. But I'm warning you, your little friend Ron is all mine. If I find out you have done anything with him, it will be the last thing you ever do." Lavender sneers at me. Woah! This girl has some serious anger issues. I mean we are just friends nothing more. If anything probably less than that.

Me and Hermione exchange awkward glances and turn to our beds. As soon as I hit the pillow, my eyes start to droop and I fall asleep.
