The end of the summer holidays came rather quickly and Persephone was excited to finally go back to Hogwarts.

"Oh, you're ready to go" aunt Mel said, giving her a kiss on the head.

"Yes! I can't wait!" Persephone said hopping up and down.

"You're like a little bunny that had too much sugar" uncle Chris said ruffling her hair.

Persephone jerked back and pouted, trying smooth her messy hair with her fingers. "Ah ah... very funny uncle Chris. What are you even doing here? It's two in the morning."

"We're here to consult the Book of Shadows," he said shrugging, "Demon, innocent to save... You know — same old story."

"Oh..." she muttered. "Is dad working with you?"

"Actually yes—" came the voice of her father from the stairs, "I'm sorry, baby girl. I can't come with you to the station this year."

"That's fine, dad. BUT!" she shouted dramatically, "When I come back you have to be there with mom... Deal?"

"Deal" her father chuckled, ruffling her hair.

Persephone groaned, moving away from Wyatt's hand and running her fingers through her hair once again. "Stop doing that!"

Uncle Chris grinned mischievously. He silently reached his arm out, but just as his fingers brushed her hair Persephone orbed away to the other side of the room.

"Hey, that's not fair!"

Aunt Mel sighed and slapped the back of his head. "And you're supposed to be an adult?"

"Melinda!"

"Chris!" she mocked.

Wyatt Halliwell stared blankly at his siblings and then turned to his daughter that was sporting an innocent smile.

"Yes, daddy?" she asked.

Her father snorted and shook his head.

"Very well, " she said, walking to him. "Now go and kick that demon's a—"

A loud "hem hem" interrupted her and Persephone's head snapped up. Grandma Piper was at the top of the stairs, giving her a very disapproving look. "—butt! I was saying butt!"

"Don't lie to me and come here" she said holding out her arms.

Persephone smiled and ran to her. As they hugged, another pair of arms wrapped around them. She raised her gaze and saw her grandfather, Leo.

"You know the recommendations" said grandma.

"Yup, not showing my Wiccan powers."

"Exactly... Last year you went really close to reveal them. You did it to help your friend and we are proud of you," grandpa said, "but this year..."

"Talking about this, could you also avoid putting yourself in danger?" grandma added.

"It's not my fault! It was just... how things developed?"

"You don't seem sure" uncle Chris said.

Persephone gave him the 'not helping!' glare. "It was inevitable... Look, I'll be careful, alright?"

"Sephie, are you ready to go?" said her mother, entering the room.

"Yes, mom! Let's go!"

Persephone waved goodbye to the rest of her family and grabbed her mother's hand, disapparating together.

Like always, King's Cross was full when they apparated.

"I think your grandparents already told you everything, but just in case..." said Electra. "Don't sleep during History of Magic—"
