Chapter 2 : Puppet Strings

"Arcanius.... Noo....! " You whined and fell into the darkness.
Your vision was blurry, but you could see something approaching your vision.
Then everything went black...
"He's still out.... He might be dangerous. " A voice said.
"Huh. W-who there? " You asked nervously.
"Me.... Who else? "
You recognize the voice, but you're not sure.... Are you dreaming? or something worse?
"H-h-help...." You whimper.
"I don't know where am I.... " You said.
"Me neither...." The voice replied.
"Who.... Who are you? "
"I've been looking for you, and I found many things while doing so. "
"You.... You're not a ghost are you? "
You started to scream when you felt a finger going down your cheek.
"No, and neither are you.... How long have you been out here?"
"I don't know.... A while...."
"I've been looking for you for... For months....
"No... You're not real... " You said nervously.
"Of course I am, where else would I be? "
You feel cold metal touching your neck.
"H-h-help....
"You're inside in a Illusion Spell Ethan. Think! " You said to yourself.
"Remember how to get out of a Illusion Spell Ethan, Remember how! " You said to yourself.
Your eyes widened, and you remember.
"Unravel! " You shouted.
The darkness turns to light and you hear Arcanius voice fading in.
"Wake up! It's just a spell! " Arcanius said while slapping you.
You opened your eyes and Arcanius slapped you again and this time much harder.
"Ngh! Owww!!!! " You yelled at pain.
"Why did you do t- " You got stopped as Arcanius hugged you.
"Don't ever leave me kid. You're lucky you figure it out how to undo a Illusion Spell. " Arcanius said as he looked at you.
"You slapped hard! It's hurts though. " You said and gave him a frown.
"You'll get over it, I've seen much worse. "
"You're so violent. " You said with a frown.
You remember the pain and you realize it's worth it.
"I'm a demon, I can't help it. " Arcanius said looking down.
"What are you saying you're a were-" You stopped yourself as you realized what you were going to say.
You don't want to say you're a were- demon. Arcanius will be insulted.
"You won't say what? "
"It's nothing. " You gave him a fake smile.
"Don't worry, I'm not mad. I know you're embarrassed about being a demon. "
"What? I'm not a demon! I'm a human half elf. " You said with confusion.
"Hah! Yes you are. Let me ask you this, how many fingers am I holding up? "
You look around as you try to figure out what he means.
"I don't know what the he'll are you talking about. " You said with confusion.
"Don't play stupid with me. I'm asking you how many fingers I'm holding up.
"3? " You asked.
You didn't know why he was asking you that, but you were too embarrassed to ask and say you didn't know.
"No, not even 3. " Arcanius responded.
"(Sigh) 1?" you asked trying not to make him angry.
"What? You don't know how many fingers I'm holding up? " Arcanius responded.
"yes! Ofcourse I don't know! I'm just a Human/Elf. " You yelled in frustration.
"Yes, you are." Arcanius said with a smile.
"I don't know! " You yelled as Arcanius puts his face really close to yours.
"You're 4."
"Wha? " You said in confusion.
"4, not 3." Arcanius said.
"I don't know what you're talking about. " You said in confusion and frustration.
"Stop lying, you're a demon. "
"I'm NOT a demon! Look, I don't want to play your silly game, just let me go home!
"I'm not a demon Arcanius! How many do I need to say it? " You said in frustration.
"Well you're a half breed demon. That makes you 2/ 3 demon. Don't forget, we also have a word for that, WEREWOLVES!
"Argh! Okay that's it! I had enough of this demon half breed thing! " You said while walking towards your room. You slam the door shut behind you.
"Finally some alone time for myself. " You said to yourself.
You know Arcanius is probably going to be coming soon to try to get you to go out, but right now you're just going to wallow in frustration.
You picked up your book Spells for Mages and read it.
"Hmmm... Mage Spell: Calming... I think this one is easy than the lightning one... I'll try this on Arcanius secretly so he'll stop talking about half breed demons or something. " You said to yourself
You heard a knock to your door it's Arcanius.
"Um, I'm coming!" You yell answering the door.
You open the door and see Arcanius standing there.
"What's up?" You ask.
"You need to go out."
"Mage Spell: Calming! " You casted the spell on Arcanius he's not angry anymore.
"Why do I need to go out. " You asked
"What? I didn't asked you to go out I'm just checking on you. " Arcanius said calmly.
You realized that the spell worked on him.
You closed the door. You became excited and happy you jump around on your bed because you had become a Mage. Even though that Mage Spell: Calming is a low class spell you felt proud of yourself.
"Yes! Yes! I can't believed it worked on Arcanius! " You said to yourself.
You decided that you're going to play a little joke on Arcanius too, so you went and did one of those things that only a half breed demon can do.
You went and sniffed Arcanius.
"Did you stinky demon found his way out of the dungeon? " Arcanius asked.
You just smile.
"Yes, yes I did."
"What the hells wrong with you?
"Hah! You said 'Hell's', you're not even a full blood demon, you're half breed!
"Mage Spell: Calming! " You casted the spell on Arcanius he stopped talking about half breed demons.
You laughed out loud.
"Ha ha!" You laughed.
"Look, you want to go out, go out, I'm not stopping you..." Arcanius walks away.
"For the sake of Kastiya! This spell really works! " You said to yourself.
You remembered a spell called Puppetry Spell.
"Oh yes! I can manipulate simple things with this spell! " You said to yourself.
You get out your book of Mage Spells and look for that spell.
Puppetry Spell a spell casts a invisible string on the fingers and attaches it on a object to move it. Some Battle Mages uses this fighting style. They uses custom made puppets filled with weapons which they can activate using the Puppetry Spell.
You remember the incantation for this spell, it's been a long time since you learned it.
You have to remember to do it in a secluded place where nobody will disturb you.
"Hmmm... This fighting style is actually one of my favorite one's like the Destruction Spell and Conjuration Spell. " You said.
"I think I'll try this fighting style when I get the chance, I bet it would look really cool to see a battle mage using a puppet. "
"But I don't have any puppets... I'll just make one instead... " You said to yourself.
You wasted your time making a puppet.
You make a human like five feet tall puppet it's not perfect but it's working.
"Okay here goes nothing. Puppetry Spell! " You casted the spell the strings came out on your fingertips playing each strings on the limbs of the puppet. Two for the arms and two for the legs and one for the head.
The puppet looked like it's fighting style a mixture of Capoeira and Karate. You had fun controlling the puppet.
"How does it look?" You asked the puppet.
"It looks good."
"I'm gonna show you to my friend Arcanius. " You said with a smile.
"You're taking me to meet another half breed aren't you?" The puppet said.
You didn't answer instead you went to call Arcanius.
"I have something to show you, come on out Arcanius, I've got something to show you."
Arcanius soon appeared with a grin on his face.
"Ta dah! " You smiled at Arcanius he looked at the puppet.
"I'll call him Redaar. " You said smiling.
"Does he talk?" Arcanius said.
"Yes, and he wants to go be my friend." You replied.
"What does he do?" Arcanius asked.
"Well he can fight cause he's a Battle Puppet. " You said.
"WHAT!" Arcanius said.
"I casted a spell to make him fight, he's really cool." You said.
"You can try to fight with him. " You said to Arcanius.
"Alright..." Arcanius said.
Arcanius faced the Redaar and you've placed both of his hands together, making a ring.
"Go Redaar. " You said as Redaar charges forward to Arcanius.
Arcanius is caught by surprise and Redaar punches him in the stomach. He then jumps and flips over Redaar's kick.
"Oh my Tel! Are you okay Arcanius? I made Redaar to rough I'm sorry..." You said with a worried tone.
"I'm fine, I'm not used to fighting with a puppet anyway. " Arcanius said.
Arcanius grabs Redaar's leg as it comes down and he flips over sending Arcanius to the ground.
"Redaar stop that's enough. " You said as you pull the strings to you.
Redaar releases Arcanius and you give him back to Arcanius you.
"Do you like him?" You ask.
"Yeah, he's cool kid I guess. " Arcanius said smiling at you.
He got up and he holds your hand.
"Let's go back to the Cabin Kid. " Arcanius said. You two walked to the cabin.
"You know Arcanius I should just turn myself into a Puppetry Mage than a Battle Mage, or maybe both! " You said.
"You might even turn yourself into a Healer you have a lot of dreams kid, I know you can get them all if you just belive yourself. " Arcanius said.
"Thanks Arc. " You said smiling.
