Chapter 1 : Magic Finding

You are a hunter named Ethan, you hunt animals for living in Enchanted Forest. You have a better dream becoming a Battle Mage. You live alone in a Cabin, but one day you spotted a Werewolf named Arcanius. You accidentally hit him with your arrow and you healed him in your Cabin. Arcanius woke up in your cabin, wondering where he is.
"Hey are you okay? " You asked Arcanius.
"Yeah I'm fine." He said.
"Someone shot you with an arrow and it hit your arm. " You lied.
"I think I'm fine now. "
"You sure you don't want to go to the healer?"
"I'm sure."
"Hey I haven't got you're name. " You said with a smile.
"Ah, yes my name Arcanius. "
"It's a nice name." You say with a smile.
You decide to get some rest after talking for a while with Arcanius.

"Anyway, I made you something to eat."

This is the main character of the story if he dies his closest friend will replace as the main character or you can choose to end the game.

"Hey you're up early, that's good. " You heard a voice say.
You open your eyes to see Arcanius sitting up in his bed.
You sit up and yawn.
"Did I wake you?" the voice asks.
"No, I was awake already, I just sleep in a bit. " you respond.
You looked at Arcanius he's shirtless you blushed as you see his abs for the first time. He notices your gaze and laughs.
"What? You think I'm bad looking?" He asks.
"Ofcourse not! " You said while blushing "I'm just surprised to see you shirtless. Its kind of rare to see a mercenary with abs." You laugh.
"Hm, well I'm not a mercenary for nothing." Arcanius laughs as he stands up.
Your stomach growls.
"Hehe... Kinda hungry. " You laughed nervously.
"I know the feeling." Arcanius laughs as he heads to the dresser.
Arcanius grabs a folded piece of paper, and hands it to you.
"What's this? " You asked.
"Just a list of places to eat around this area, I figured you'd be hungry, so I made sure to write down a place that can get us some food."
You look at the paper.
"(Sigh) Thanks but I don't need this I lived here my entire life. " You said.
"Oh Pansexual why is it that you can hug and kiss Arcanius, but you won't eat with him? " Arcanius asks getting annoyed.
"WHAT?! " You yelled.
"Hey I'm just keeping it real, you know since you're trying to keep me safe and all... so when's the last time you ate?"
"I had something to eat earlier today.
Quest Unlocked : Find something to eat

> You find something to eat.
"Eat you say? I'm sorry but I'm not a charity, if you want to eat then you gotta earn it. " Arcanius says.
You look at him confused.
"What do you mean?" You ask.
"I need you to go out and get me something to eat, I don't care what, just try not to get killed in the process."

> You say "Fine.... I'll get mushrooms even though you don't like them. "
"Really? You won't go on a bigger quest to get something that actually good for you? " Arcanius asks.
"Yeah mushrooms are good for you, they're nutritious." You respond.

> You gone outside the Cabin to find something to eat.
You get up and walk outside the Cabin, you start to look around for mushrooms. You look near the wood pile but don't see anything there. You remember that you have pass through here earlier so you search near the tree you climbed to get in here. You continue to look around but you still don't see anything. You scratch your head and wonder if you need a better nose for finding mushrooms.
> You say "Where are those mushrooms? "
"Those mushrooms? They are underground. " Arcanius says as he walks out the Cabin.
"(Sigh) I'll just go fishing at the lake... Give a fishing rod... " You said lazily.
"I don't have a fishing rod! " Arcanius yells.
"What? Really? " You ask in total surprise.
"No and I don't carry a pole on me either. You do know that you can get those at store right? " Arcanius says.
"Argh... Fine I'll just make one. " You said with annoyance.
"(Sigh) It's really too bad you didn't pick a better class Pansexual, you really have a knack for many things.)"
You walk back into the cabin.
"What do you want for dinner?" You hear Arcanius ask.
"(Sigh) Fish. " You respond.
"You want fish? " Arcanius asks.
"A grilled one. " You said.
"Grilled fish? You want fish, but you don't want to do any work to prepare it? " Arcanius asks.
"(Sigh) Just give me a fish. " You said.
"Okay, which one?" Arcanius says.
"The biggest one you got." You respond.
A short time later...
You take a bite of the fish.
"Sorry I didn't get that much fish. " You said with a sad face.
"Don't be sorry, be grateful. I still got you something. " Arcanius says as he gives you a small box.
You open it and see a ring.
"Aww... Thanks Arc! " You said while smiling.
"Now get out of here while I bathe." Arcanius commands as he walks into the bathroom.
"Thanks for the ring again! " You said as you placed the ring your finger.
"And while I appreciate it, I feel like we should get something else done too. " Arcanius responds as he closes the bathroom door.
"Hehe... I'll peek at him. " You said as you peeked at the bathroom.
You see Arcanius naked. (What a nice view!) You then hear a crash from the bathroom.
"Wha... What the hell do you think you're doing?! " Arcanius shouts from the bathroom.
"Wha.. What? I'm not doing anything! " You said nervously and blushing.
"Don't lie to me! I know exactly what you were doing, I'm in charge of your mind remember? You were... I dunno spying on me while I was taking a bath! "
"No I wasn't! " You said while blushing even more.
"Liar! "
You begin to sweat bullets.
"I'm NOT lying! I swear to Fel, I wasn't doing anything bad! I promise! " You say.
A few moments of silence pass after you said that.
"Don't worry, I'm not mad..." Arcanius says from the bathroom. "Just... Be a bit more careful alright?"
"Yeah... I'll be careful... You can take your bath now." You said while blushing with a sad face.
"Thank you." Arcanius says as the water begins to turn off.
You exit the room, closing the door behind you.
You took your book for Spells for Mages and read it. It was pretty interesting, you learned a few new things. While making your own spell components would probably be extremely expensive and time consuming, you could easily mix them together without having to go buy a single one.
"I'll go outside and try this spell. " You said to yourself.
You went out side and began to concentrate.
You tried to visualize the spell you had learned in the book, however, you started to feel extreme fatigue wash over you.
"Arghh... My head... " You said, and fell to the ground.
You remember this feeling... It wasn't good.
"Hey are you alright? What's wrong with you?" A voice says.
"Shit." You mumble as you wake up and see that your still outside, but you're no longer lying down.
"Are you alright?" The voice asks.
You look up to see Arcanius staring at you with a worried face.
"What happened?" Arcanius asks.
"Nnnmm... My head hurts a bit. " You said still rubbing your head.
"I tried to casta spell but I didn't do anything... I can't be a mage... I'm sorry Arc I got you worried..." You said with a sad face.
"Don't be sorry, I'm just glad you're alright. You looked really pale there for a moment.
"I can't be a mage Arcanius..... I'll just be a marksman like I used to be.... " You said sadly.
"A marksman? What are you talking about?"
You begin to explain that you tried to cast a spell and nothing happened.
"It can't be... But it is. " Arcanius said as he began to laugh.
"What? What's so funny?"
Arcanius continues to laugh his head off and you don't quite get the joke.
"Why? Are you laughing at my failure? " You asked while crying.
"Hehe... No! I'm not laughing at your failure. I'm laughing because you just described yourself." Arcanius said while laughing.
"I am? "
"Yes. You tried to visualize the spell a couple of times and gave up after only ten seconds.
"So I just need to try cast again? " You asked while hoping.
"I think so, but do you know what should your weakness?"
"Weakness? "
"Yes, I think you lack the willpower and discipline to be a mage. You're still weak for a frail human. So basically you lack discipline."
"Dis..."
"I... I guess I'm still weak... " You said sadly.
"Don't be sad, I think you have the capability to do really big things if you try harder. " Arcanius says as he gives you a big hug.
"Thanks Arc.... " You said smiling again.
"I'll try to cast another one see if it's work. " You said to yourself.
Then you closed your eyes, and started trying to visualize the spell once more.
You can still remember the feeling of the fatigue taking over your body, but this time you've learned that won't happen again.
You try and try, but still nothing....
"Still.... Nothing.... " You said sadly.
"Not even a spark? "
"No..."
You had given up on visualizing the spell two hours ago, but now you forced yourself to think of it once more.
"Lightning please just a small spark.... " You said to yourseld in a whisper.
Then you felt it, a small spark....
Then nothing....
"I gave up too soon.... Maybe I should try once more....."You said to yourself.
You felt the spark again, but it soon disappeared.
"Maybe I need to visualize it bigger or something..." You said to yourself.
Arcanius looking at you.
"You can do it Ethan just visualize it. " Arc said with a big smile.
You tried once more, and this time the spark became bigger.
Then nothing....
"I can't feel anything...."
"Wrong way. "
"Okay Ethan almost there... Just visualize more... " You said to yourself.
You can now feel a slight tingling feeling, a very small amount of heat, and something that looks like static electricity.
"It's coming...." You said with your eyes still closed.
You can now feel something.... Almost like....
"A glow? "
You can feel a faint tingling glow all over your body.
"Arcanius! Look! I did it! " You said smiling.
This made him laugh once more.
"Alright Mr. sparky, you're a wizard! "
"Do it again!" A voice said behind you.
You felt a sharp pain going through your head.
That voice sounded very much alike Arcanius'.
You fell down on one knee, and put your other hand on the back of your head.
"Ngh.... My head.... " You placed your hand on your head.
Then blood came out of your... Wherever you placed it.
"Ah! You've killed him! Get the hell out of here, you insane fool! " A voice shouted.
You could barely make out the blurry images of men, but you saw them grabbing Arcanius and dragging him away.
"Come on! " The man said from behind you.
You couldn't.
"Arc... No... " You said faintly.
"Come on! " He shouted once more as he took your arm to pull you up.
"Noooo....." You whined and fell into darkness.
