Chapter 1

"Krist- over here! Is it true what Victoria Rhode is saying? Do you agree with her?"

"Is it true that she is receiving half of your net worth? Or did you sign a prenuptial agreement?"

I can hear the paparazzi shouting at my dad. Honestly, do these people not have a heart. Krist is going through such a hard time with his divorce and all they can ask about is his money and reputation. I mean, there are more important things.

Let me tell you three things about Krist:

Number one, Krist Flemming is a famous singer. He has more awards than some people have brain cells. Just kidding. Actually not, people have become very stupid these days.

Number two, even after all the fame, Krist is a very humble and down-to-earth person. I would know better than anyone. So, when Victoria Rhode, his ex wife, said he is a very controlling and a harsh person, she was obviously lying.

Number three, sometimes Krist can become too kind-hearted and fail to see the true intentions of the other person. The 'other person' being Victoria. Everybody knew she had married Krist for his money. Krist had released his first album, which was a hit, in his sophomore year and suddenly Victoria, the popular cheerleader had changed her attitude completely towards him.

Oh, and you ask who am I? I am Pepper, Krist's pet dog. No, I am not joking. I am a Pembroke Welsh Corgi and the Flemmings adopted me when Krist had just started high school. Since then, Krist and I have been inseparable. He takes me everywhere he goes- all his meetings, concerts, award shoes, even on red carpets. Not to brag, but I myself have become kind of a famous pet. I have walked 23 red carpets and honestly, when I am on the red carpet, let's just say the cameras can not focus on an celebrities.

Anyways, back to the present. Krist and I were going to a meeting with his publicist and lawyer. This was the sixth meeting regarding the divorce. Honestly, I am kind of getting sick of all these officials saying the same thing again and again: Don't reply to anything Victoria is saying, otherwise you look guilty, and as per the law, she gets a grand total of 170 million dollars from the divorce. I mean that's always how they start the meeting, and I think I zone out for the rest of it- So I would not know if they actually move on from those two facts. 

"Now for your wounded reputation and how to get heal it, I had an idea." These words coming out of Olive Payne, the publicist, catch my attention. 

"What is it?" Krist asked eagerly.

"So since Victoria is basically calling you a misogynist. All you have to do now, is collaborate with a feminist. Now the challenge here is to convince her that you are absolutely, in no way, all those things Victoria is saying to defame you."

"I guess I could do that. But who is the she?"

"The biggest feminist you can collaborate with- Emily Lynch!"
