Asta's POV

Noelle just ran out on us. I wonder why she's acting so weird. It didn't look like she was hurt in our fall. Her face was really red though. I still don't get why she's acting that way. I hold my bad wrist in my right hand and stare at my teammates who are still assessing the scene that just unfolded in front of them. "Hey kid, I think you should stay here with that arm of yours." Captain Yami suggested gesturing towards my left arm. "But I'm fine, Captain." I oppose. "I'm reading your ki, lying is pointless." he countered. Darn, I really wanted to go to the party and see the Wizard King. I guess I'm just going to have to stay here all by myself. "Hey wheels! Get us to the capital." Yami ordered. "Y-yes, Yami sir." said Finral, probably fearing for his life. Finral opened one of his portals and paused, "What about Noelle?" "I doubt she's in the mood to come." slurred Vanessa. She did have a point. Since the rest of the squad is leaving, maybe I should try to go talk to her? Yeah! I'll talk to her!

Noelle's POV

Oh my god! I was so stupid. I could have at least apologized for hurting him, I feel guilty now. "Asta is a loyal friend and he's always been there for me, I would never want to hurt him." I said to myself. I'd always been so rude to him, looking down on him, hurting him, but he still protected me. I want to make things right. "I'm such a jerk" I thought as silent tears began to roll down my face. "I want to *hic* be a better person to Asta, *hic* to everyone." I said. "Well, I think you're a great person." I didn't need to look to know who it was. It was him. The person I promised myself I'd be nicer to. "You're kind and loyal and you're super powerful." he piped. I blushed madly at his words. If he keeps saying that stuff I just might explode! Tch. Idiot.

Asta's POV

I slowly walked up behind Noelle, listening to every word. I liked hearing her talk but I didn't like seeing her beat herself up over this. "Well, I think you're a great person." I said. She stopped crying and listened for more. "You're kind and loyal and super powerful." I added. She turned around to face me, her face was still red. She's really got to a doctor or something. I walked over and sat next to her. Why is my face getting all hot? What's this feeling? I can't say I hate it but it makes me feel all weird inside. I turn to face Noelle. She stares back at me with a look in her eyes that I've never seen before, especially not from her. I open my arms to hug her and she responds almost instantly. She sobs in my arms and hiccups every now and then. She looks up at me and leans in. Her eyes flit shut and presses her lips on mine. They're so soft and practically irresistible . Wait, what?! Noelle is kissing me? And I'm kissing back? But you know what, I actually like it. I close my eyes and enjoy as she runs her hands through my hair. I wrap my good arm around her waist and pull her close. She's definitely going to kill me after this but I can worry about that later.

Noelle 's POV

Oh my god, I can't believe I actually kissed him. I never expected anything from someone as stupid as him but I can't help but love this idiot. This shrimpy, dense, meatheaded, idiot.

Asta's POV

I pull back for air and look Noelle in the eyes. She stares back and says three words I never thought I'd hear her say ,"I love you." My face turned crimson and I realized what I was feeling. Yes, I'm sure of it. I'm in love with this girl, I always have been. "I love you too" I replied. I placed a small kiss on her forehead and hugged her again. We laid back and fell asleep together under the moonlight.
