When they need a hug but can't ask

[ I love it so much in the story when one of the characters shows a kind or caring side of their personality toward another character, I find those moments to be really sweet and moving!! ;_; So for some of these I imagined the situation with two of the demons together, even though it's you they need a hug from <3 ]

Lucifer

He needs a hug when he's exhausted, emotionally or physically or anything in between. It's rare that you see him at this level though, where Lucifer lays back on his bed without taking off his shoes, attempting to rest his eyes for a few moments. He's vaguely aware that he asked you to come to his room to discuss a council task, and although he could text you not to bother, another part of him wishes you were here already, gathering him in your arms and telling him not to think about all this for a while , just to hug you back if he needs to. It's a blurry, discordant thought that doesn't even make much sense to him, but it eases his mind enough to drift to sleep, his lamp still flickering and ink pen still loose and uncapped on his desk.

When Lucifer wakes to find he actually is in your arms, he looks at you through heavy lids, frowning in confusion as you gently pull free his tie so it isn't strangling him. "Sorry" he says thickly. And then "you're here." He looks tired beyond reason, and somehow, a little sad laying there all alone. You dim the lamp and lay next to him, he turns toward you, his gaze fixing on you in the dark. Reaching for his hands, you softly tug his gloves free too, then lift his arm and rest it around your shoulders, whispering with a smile that he can hug you back if he needs to, Luciushka. He mumbles "what are you talking about?", then exhales a soft laugh, far too sleepy for trying to decipher your terms of affection. He wraps his arms around you, the last words to leave him are a murmured "I love you, too".

Mammon & Levi

Mammon and Levi both badly need a hug from you when they arrive back at the House of Lamentation all scuffed-up, as if they've been thrown out of some high-class establishment straight into the pavement. This is, in fact, exactly what happened. They're both trying to make it down the hallway without somehow alerting Lucifer, but Mammon keeps whining "ow, owww my knee" and Levi keeps hissing "you can stop complaining since this is all your fault! Don't expect any sympathy from me!"

You quickly usher your two very miserable looking demons into your bedroom, motioning for them to pipe down as you quietly close the door. They're muddy and looking quite sorry for themselves, and you're going to need the full story. It turns out Mammon was attempting to cheat at some fancy casino which he's already been banned from for previously cheating. Levi angrily followed him in, saying Mammon better not be spending the grimm Levi lent him to buy a pop-figurine, he can't believe Mammon would tug his heartstrings by pretending he needed money for an essential life item and instead use it for gambling.

Mammon heatedly interjects, saying it's only gambling if there's a chance you might lose, and since he was cheating, there wasn't. But then Levi gets fired up, saying it's actually worse than gambling in that case, because not only did Mammon lose when he got caught, they also got yelled at and humiliated in front of the entire casino, then thrown out in a heap of shame.

You can tell Mammon feels really bad at that point, and he tries to make an awkward apology while Levi pretends he can't hear. You try to settle them down by making them take off their jackets so you can inspect their scrapes and bruises, even though for Mammon, this turns out to be just one grazed knee. Levi has a few more decent bruises but is apparently aiming for stoic silence.

You want to comfort them both, so you get out some healing cream and bandaids (this is entirely unnecessary for Mammon's tiny graze, but he appreciates it to no end). Then you ask why Levi's the one who ended-up looking like he's been in a bar fight, and Mammon mumbles that after the casino guards said Mammon was the scumbag of the demon realm, Levi got all red faced and started yelling at the top of his lungs not to call Mammon that and to shut up and get lost.
