I want to give you a bit more information about my school, each time you have a detention slip, you have to go see the principal. And the principal is an asshole. He is the only one in this school that knows about what happened to me because of the papers from the hospital, and he made it clear what he thought about it. And since he is an asshole, many people knew being a rebel wasn’t worth talking to such a scum. Which means that the possibility of me being one of the only ones in detention would have been high if it wouldn’t have been for Chase.
And it comes to notice that my school is one of those schools that has the limits in social statuses firmly rooted. We have the jocks and the cheerleaders in one, the popular with everyone group, the geeks, the band geeks, the skaters, and the rest are part of the normal people cliques. My group is one of the normal people cliques, and we blend quite well with the rest. The jocks and the cheerleaders were of course some of the most hated, they were always trash talking and making lives miserable, especially for the geeks. The popular ones, thankfully, are in a whole other group. They are popular for a reason, they have the best of the best and treat everyone good, of course they have rumors, but they never start it. Their drama is the drama you would see in gossip girl. Reeses is the only one of us that had every way of getting into that group, but she was still with us.
Now the geeks, the band geeks, the skaters, and lets add on the rest of the weird society (but I do think they are awesome people to talk to and are very good people, plus, they are always incredibly energetic about the theme they love) are normally in their own world, and the target for the jocks and cheerleaders. But through the years the bullying to the weird has decreased, let’s not get into to many details on why it has decreased. But to give you a clue, I do get quite mad at bullying.
And then we have the average, the social status we have chosen to keep. The average are the majority of school, groups of friends sitting together and various times changing tables based on relationships. This is the only status that doesn’t have such a strong limit to it like the rest. The people change tables day in and day out, well, except mine, we are more than just a group of friends. We are a team, we are just lucky to have become friends before we became a team. And that each of us had something useful for the purpose.
I don’t know if I should tell you the purpose now or later on, maybe it is better later on. Right now we are talking about school and detention and going way out of track. So let’s go back to the school.
The school itself is mostly known for being closer to the city than the rest, and not having a uniform. In the city, schools normally had a uniform for all of that equality thing but I preferred it this way. Sure, there is a silent competition of best dressed but we were ourselves. I felt weird each time I had to be without my leather jacket, I felt like another person, a fragile person. And this way you could also know a person, I read once that the way one dresses describes more about a person than the way they smile. Rules in the school had the normal rules, no tank tops, no crop tops, no shameful shirts, no short shorts or skirts. The rules were a bunch for woman, which could also sum up the whole principal is an asshole part.
I went up to the principal’s office and waited patiently for the secretary to tell me I was good to go. And quite in the luck of things I bumped into Oliver Cross, the school typical bully. We never actually talked, atleast not that he knew of. I may or may have not anonymously told him that I was part of the Red X and that if he used people once again he would get pranked so bad he would end up expulsed. Of course, all done anonymously, and he had a large range of haters, so I was easily ignored once again. He never really hit anyone again after that. That was three years ago, the Red X already had a pretty big reputation. He is also in my math class.
So I bumped into him, not in the literal way just found him as he came out of the real office, and saw that he was bowing his head. Now I have plenty of reasons why people bow there head or look down, nervousness, anger, shame, guilt, lies, lost in thought, confused. But only two would count with a guy like Oliver, shame and anger. Oliver would have been pretty good looking if it weren’t for the too big muscles on him, or the completely repellent personality. And even with both things he has a girlfriend, which is technically the school’s... to avoid using a word that may be taken badly or as something to be ashamed of I will say it plain out, she has sex with every single guy in school that is legal. Both of them are a weird pair, Oliver has a buzzed scalp and wears too tight shirts, his eyes are a plain dark brown. And his girlfriend, Samantha, is a long black haired girl, petite body but curvier than any other girl I know, and known for her bright green eyes.
