Chapter 11: A Vision - Megumi In Trouble!
"Training begins now?" Kotone said while raising a brow."Indeed," Ayano said. "After I get some green tea to replenish myself."
"Oh come on, Ayano, that sedate pace that you go is kind of annoying," Kotone said with an eye roll, though Ayano seemed unperturbed by this.
"You know, Kotone, you could stand to be a little more patient instead of rushing to do the next thing," Ayano said. "I understand that you have a business woman like efficiency, but sometimes you need to slow down the pace and take the time to savor the scents of the flowers, hear the humming of the bees, and feel the wind against your face. You know? Just atmosphere."
Kotone flushed a bit. "Well, all right, have your green tea then."
Ayano went into the kitchen to get herself a mug of green tea. She offered some to Kotone, who declined, but then thoguth better of it and ecided that she needed something to energize her before she did a thorough workout. Besides that, it was said that green tea helped concentrate the senses and Kotone needed all the mental acuity that she would need. While they sipped and savored their green tea in enjoyable silence, Kotone then said.
"You know, if we're going to do some training at your house outside of everyone else's sight, there is a few things I would like to establish."
"What is that, Kotone-san?"
"First of all, learning magic takes energy, right?"
"That is correct."
Can it be restored in anyway?"
"It usually depends on your stamina, as rest and nutrient providing foods will help you get your energy back after you've had a long and hard session of magic, or sometimes...other things that you might be opposed to, Kotone. Considering how straight laced you are."
"Y-You mean..."
Ayano smirked.
"Sexual relations with someone else, to exchange mana with one another."
"Are you certain that's true or are you just pulling my leg? Is it something to make me fall into impurity? I mean, sure I heard that it's great and everything, but..."
"Oho, are you a virgin, Kotone-san?~ Then why the need to wear such fancy underwear then, hm?"
"Will you let that go! Besides, I'm not ready for stuff like that, you know?" Kotone said with a huff. "I have more important things to do than...than...THAT..."
Ayano smirked at this. "Oho, teasing Kotone-san is way too fun. I'm enjoying myself, actually."
"Will you stop it, Ayano! This is serious! I mean, there's a whole world shattering stakes going on in this paranormal world, and you're jacking around with me. It's not funny."
"Yes, yes, Kotone-san, I've long ago since determined that you've had no sense of humor."
"It's not that I don't have a sense of humor, it's just that you're insufferable."
"Anyway, Kotone-san, for an important bit of information, I'll need to go to sleep. There are some visions that I need to receive, and I can only get them through dreamseeing and through the Vision Pool."
"So you invited me over only to have yourself fall asleep? I mean there's not much for entertainment in your house, Ayano."
"Make do with your phone or whatever."
Kotone got flustered." I don't use my phone for the Internet or other silly distractions! Strictly for Strictly for work related purposes."
"How dull and unimaginative you are, Kotone-san. Maybe you should use your phone as a tool for your paranormal exploits. Though I have to say, it won't always be one hundred percent reliable because magic often interferes with electrical activity that causes those things to run. There was never such a need for those things when you had magic. Hmhmhm."
