I opened my eyes as the tears run freely wetting the pillows.

Dumb nightmares

I sigh as i sat up and pulled the covers off, making my way to the bathroom.

I rubbed my eyes trying to make my vision clearer and looked at the mirror.

Bags under my eyes were something I have had since those nightmares have started. It was practically normal for me but i hide it when i go out, covering the evidence of lack of sleep ( thank you nightmares) with make up.

I headed straight to the dining hall for breakfast.

I could already hear the bickering and loud conversations. 

The King Regold sat at the head of the table and the Queen Herstia at the other end. My mother, Queen Royal Beta Alena would always sit by the Queen's side as my father, King Royal Beta Heath sat on the King's side.

I made my way to my seat beside Alex. Sensing my presence, he stood up and helped me take my seat, he leaned in to accept my thanks, a little peck on his cheeks.

Alex and I go way back into diaper times. He's a year older than me, which made me grateful because it was enough age gap for the both of us.

I heard awwww's  and a lot of coo's around the table at the diplay of affection they just saw. I blushed but still acted normally and filled my plate so did Alex.

King Regold cleared his throat as as he catches our attention.

"As you both know, tomorrow night will be the Moon Ball."

"Yes father we are all aware of that." Alex answered his dad in a 'duh we know' tone as he winks at me.

I rolled my eyes at this.

Thank you goddess, this one's mine.

King Regold just chuckled at his son's behavior, "I know son. So we were all hoping that before the night ends, you would make it known that Louise here is your mate."

Our parents eyes looked at us both expectantly.

I looked at Alex as he looked back with happiness.

"Yes!"

"Absolutely!"
