"So you having a little baby Huh? That's some unrealistic shit to me." I rolled my eyes as I walked around the mall with tyke.

I figured since he did admit that he has feelings for me that I had to tell him that I was having another baby. I didn't even tell my mom yet.

"Yup...awe! Don't look like that, we still can be friends." I replied looking up at him while cutting a piece of my cinnamon roll with the fork.

"Lauren we been friends for some shit, can't you see I'm tryna take it further than that?" My eyes widened.

"Ouu look at that purse. It's cuuuteee." I dragged turning my head the other way. He turned my head towards him.

"I'm serious." He looked dead in my eyes and I tried to look away but I couldn't..

"I like that we're friends and when something goes wrong, I can talk to you and I don't want to mess that up." I made an excuse.

"That's what you be thinking bout'?" He shook his head looking past me.

"That and some."

"What's and some?" He walked towards the bench so I could sit down.

"Nothing."

"All the times I bought you flowers, and candy, and jewelry and shit. You just had to pick the nigga with the guns." I chuckled even though it wasn't funny.

"I'm sorry. I appreciated your gifts and kind gestures, although I should've picked you. I'm pretty sure my life would have been better." He smiled.

"Should've, could've, would've. Now we all grown up with kids and shit. Ion regret a thing though cause I love my daughter." I shook my head.

"Period. And maybe you wasn't a good choice either because why you and your child's mom not together?" I turned my body towards him as he sat back and rested his arms on top of the bench.

"Oh that was her fault. She did some grimy shit so I left her." I shook my head deciding not to ask further questions.

"Well, thank you for taking me out and feeding me. I had a really fun time." He stared at me shaking his head.

"What? You want a hug?" I smiled. He looked the other way.

"Do I want a hug? You really treat me like that lame ass nigga you met at the phone store." I bust out laughing.

"Oh my god tyke. No I don't." I was geeking. It shouldn't have been that funny.

"You laughing but I'm so serious. I would really do anything for you Lauren. I would kill for you...you know that?" He said as he grabbed my hand.

"Now I do." He let my hand go and stood up.

"You done with this?" I shook my head.

"You ready to go home?"

"Mhmm." He grabbed my hand and walked to his car.

The car ride home was full of laughter and jokes. I actually had a good time and didn't even think about Ermias.

When he pulled up outside my momma house, I didn't even get out the car.

"Well.... our day has come to an end." I grabbed my belongings.

"Yea man. You really put a hold on a nigga." I chuckled.

"I didn't even do nothing today but say yes, no, and look cute. How I put a hold on you?" He shrugged.

"I don't know.. your soul." I stared at him as he looked ahead looking like he had a lot on his mind.

"You have a nice soul too. I wish I could spend more time with you but my child's fath—
