studying • part one

I entered the library and sat at a desk; slamming my potions book on the wooden surface. I opened the book and began studying. A cough interrupted my studying making me jump "I'm sorry y/n, I didn't mean to scare you." I smiled "Its okay Cedric, I forgot we were studying today!" Cedric smiled "We do this every day you idiot!" I giggled embarrassedly as Cedric sat next to me and slammed his potions book as he got out his quill.

"What's in an Amortentia potion y/n?" asked Cedric I hummed in response "Ashwinder egg, Rose thorn, Peppermint, Powdered moonstone aaaand Pearl dust!" I smiled widely as Cedric's eyes scanned the page and his lips curved into a smile "Aaaand that's correct Miss L/n! Champion Of The Potioonns!" he laughed as I punched his arm playfully "You're so stupid Ced" Cedric blushed slightly as I pretended not to notice. I looked at the clock holstered highly on the wall. "It's time for potions Ced" I huffed and packed my things away as he did the same.

I sat in potions daydreaming as Snape's voice cut my dream short. "Miss L/n and Mr Malfoy See me after class" He snapped as I nodded "Yes Professor" and Draco sighed "Yes Professor". "I wonder what he wants with you and Malfoy" Cedric mumbled "I honestly don't know" I whispered as I continued to work with Cedric on the potion.

I packed my things away and walked to Snape as Malfoy did the same. "Miss L/n Mr Malfoy, I called you to stay after class because I want Miss L/n to help Mr Malfoy with his potions studies, beginning this afternoon" Malfoy looked mortified "Why do I have to help Malfoy" i sneered as he huffed at me "I don't need a Hufflepuff to help me pass!" "Shush! My decision is final! Miss L/n you ARE helping Mr Malfoy every afternoon at 5pm!" Snape snapped as I sighed "Yes Professor"

I left Potions as Cedric walked up to me "What did Snape want?" Draco left the classroom staring daggers at me "Im tutoring Malfoy, Every afternoon at 5pm" Cedric looked at me "You're what?! B-but that's when we hang out and study!" i sighed "I know Ced but we're going to have to hang out before 5 or we just study in the common room afterwards" I smiled as Cedric nodded "Okay Y/n" We said nothing, only hearing students chatter as we entered the Hufflepuff common room.
