It's two days after the incident with Draco in The Middle Courtyard. Since then, I have been ignoring him. It is the end of the school day and there is a Quidditch match, but I am not in the mood. I decide to go back to my dorm to rest a little bit. When I walk into the dorm, I see a white box on my nightstand. I grab it and sit down on my bed. On the box is a note:

My Amortentia smelled like you. Black roses, vanilla and fresh cherry's - DM

I open the box and there are black roses inside. I see Alexia and Nicola walking into the dorm. I quickly hide the note under my pillow. "What do you have there?", asks Nicola. "Black roses, a present from my dad", I respond. "Your favorite, he knows exactly what to give you!", Alexia says. "Yes..., he knows..", I mumble.

I can't sleep, I keep reading the little note over and over again. I don't understand. How can he ask another girl to the ball while he knows his Amortentia smells like me?

The next morning I sit at the table for breakfast but I am not hungry at all. "Girls, look at Draco, he has been staring sadly in front of him for days. What is wrong with him?", Alexia points to Draco. "I don't know, but it is really conspicuous", Nicola responds. "I don't know either", I mumble.

In the lessons I don't pay much attention. Fortunately, the day is passing quickly. Alexia celebrates her birthday tonight in the Slytherin common room. I think that is good for me, so that I do not think about Draco for a moment. He will be there as well but I just ignore him.

I put on a dark green little dress, heels and curled my hair earlier today. The birthday is fun. There is music, I talk to my girlfriends with some drinks and the most important, Alexia is happy.

I see Draco leaving the common room but I ignore it, we're gossiping like we always do at party's. "Gosh, I hate Pansy, she is so annoying", Nicola whispers. "Yes, I don't like her", I respond. "I can't believe she lied about Draco", Alexia says. "Where are you talking about?", I look at her confused. "She made up that he's going to the ball with a girl from Ravenclaw, poor girl. Draco would never date her", she laughs. I get up straight away and walk to the door. "I will be right back", I walk out of the common room.

It was all a lie. He did nothing wrong. I ignored him, made him feel bad, for no reason at all. I feel so bad. I look down the hall but I don't see Draco anywhere. He told me before that he likes to be at the top of the Astronomy Tower. He must be there.

I walk up the stairs of the tower. Upstairs I see Draco. He is leaning with his arms on the edge of the tower, looking out in front of him. The staircase makes a crackling sound. He hears it and looks back. When he sees me he looks back to the front.

I walk slowly towards him. When I am standing right behind him, I place my hands on his chest and let my head rest on his back. He does not move. "Sorry", I whisper. "I can explain every-", he turns around and grabs my face with his cold hands. He gives me a kiss on my forehead. "You don't have to, I heard it about Pansy", he says.
