Chapter 1: The First Day

Today is the day that I can finally get out of the cursed house with my parents, and go to high school. I can't even believe I got into UA with how terrible my grades are, but I guess I got lucky! I decided that this year, I'm going to present at school as a boy. I may be non-binary, but as long as I'm not referred to as "she" I couldn't give two craps what people call me. The thing is, if I go to school and say I'm non-binary, then people will get weirded out, and I'll never have any friends, but, if I just present as a boy and use he/him pronouns, then no one will suspect a thing, and I'll have plenty of friends. For once. I walk down the street with my stuff to move into the dorm, and come across a person with the same UA uniform on. His hair is indigo, and the bags under his eyes are very dark. Despite his tired appearance, to be honest, he's really cute. His jawline is sharp, and his body looks toned. The way that the sun shines perfectly onto his skin, and makes his eyes glimmer, is beautiful. He turns to look at me. "What're you staring at?" I look away in embarrassment. "I- uh- erm- nothing?" I reply. He laughs. I smile at the laugh, and am glad that I at least made someone smile today. I shyly rub the back of my neck while he asks, "You go to UA too? What course?" I reply with, "Uh yea, I'm in the Hero Course, class 1-A." "Huh, what a coincidence, I'm in the same class. Wanna walk together?" I think about it for a moment debating on whether or not I should walk with him. Eventually, I decide it'd be worth a shot, if this guys gonna be in my class, might as well get to know him. "Sure! My name's Denki Kaminari by the way, what's yours?" "Oh, it's HItoshi Shinso. NIce to meet you Kaminari." I smile, "Nice to meet you too Shinso!" We head to school, and talk about random things like what shows we like, our hobbies, basic stuff like that. When we arrive at school, we walk into a classroom to be greeted with an explosive ash blonde screaming at a plain-looking, green-haired boy. A girl with pink skin and weird horns on the top of her pink, fluffy hair greets us. "I'm Mina Ashido! Pleasure to meet you! What are your names?" I respond with, "Oh, I'm Denki Kaminari! NIce to meet you too!" I look over to Shinso as he says with a smile, "Shinso Hitoshi, have you seen our homeroom teacher Shota Aizawa yet?" "Ummmmmmmm, n o. BUT! That can wait! Come on, I'll introduce you two." We both follow her to the front of the room while she yells in a cheery voice, "Attention Class 1-A, is everyone here? Lemme count, Iida? There should be twenty of us right?" A dude with blue hair, glasses, and wtf robot arms (????), replies to her, "Yes Mina! There should be twenty students here!" I see the blonde guy roll his eyes at Iida's actions. After Mina is done counting, she asks if we could all be quiet for a bit so we can all introduce ourselves. Shinso and I are still at the front of the class with her, and I whisper to her, "Hey Mina, would it be okay if we went and sat down?" "Oh yeah, go ahead boys!" I flinch. Shinso and I head to the seats right next to each other that have both our names on them. Shinso asks me, "Hey dude, are you okay, you flinched after Mina said we could sit down." My eyes widen, "Uh-er-um, it w-was nothing, d-d-don't worry ab-bout it!" I plaster a fake smile onto my face. His eyes narrow in suspicion. He shakes it off, and looks to the front of the room where a girl with a large, black ponytail is. She announces, "I'm going to point to you, and when I do, could you please say your name, age, something about you, and your quirk?" We all nodded, and she started by pointing at the ash blonde. "Name's Bakugo, you better remember it EXTRAS!" We all looked in bewilderment at his actions, except for the plain-looking boy, who seemed unfazed. We all started protesting at him calling extras, but he just smirked. This went on until a dude with spiky, red hair yells, "The girl's trying to talk, guys! Listen!" Everyone quieted down at his outburst, and looked to the front of the room. I noticed the girl tensed a bit when everyone was looking at her. It was probably nothing though. Just the pressure of nineteen sets of eyes staring straight at you, is all. Eventually, she pointed to the next person, the dude with spiky hair, and pointy teeth, that yelled for our attention earlier. "My name is Eijiro Kirishima, I'm 16, and I love manly things. Oh, and um, my quirk is hardening." He pumps his fists together as he says this. Momo points to the next one, it's a girl with purple, angled, bangs, and some headphone jack plugs dangling off her ears. "Umm, so my name's Kyoka Jirou, I'm 17, my parents are musicians, and um, my quirk in earphone jack." She twiddles with her headphone jacks. The girl at the front points to herself, "I probably should've introduced myself first. My name is Momo Yaoyorozu, Im 17, One of my favorite things to do is hold study sessions, and my quirk is creation," She says, beaming. She points to a few other people, until she gets to Mina. "As some of you probably already know, my name is Ashido Mina! I'm 16, a Cancer, and my quirk is Acid!" Momo continues on for a while until she gets to Shinso. I really can't wait to hear more about him. "Um, hi? - So, I'm Hitoshi Shinso, erm- 16 years old, and uh, my quirk is Mind Control. Oh- and our homeroom teacher is my dad, so I guess that's something." Mind control??? Oh god, he's even hotter than I thought. So freaking cool! "Kaminari, it's your turn, quit staring at me and get to it," he said sleepily. My face turned as red as Kirishima's hair, and I quickly stuttered out, "Oh- uh- y-yeah, My n-name is Denki Kamin-nari, er- I'm uh, 16 years old? My favorite vine is the one where the kid screams, 'Don't frick with me, I have the power of god and anime on my side!' And, my quirk, wait, I forgot, oh yeah, it's Electrification." As I was telling them about me, people started laughing, even though they were laughing at me, it's fine, it doesn't really matter what I think about it, my job is to make everyone smile, no matter how I have to do it. After this was done and passed, Momo pointed at the back of the classroom at some kid with black hair, and extremely straight teeth. This kid's probably a prick, those are the straightest teeth I've ever seen. As soon as I heard him speak, I took all of this back, "Yo, yo, yo, my dudes! The name's Sero, Sero hanta! I'm 17 years old, and I totally agree with Kaminari. The anime kid vine *chef's kiss*. My quirk is Tape, that's why my elbows are wack." He holds up his weird-looking elbows as he says the last part. I'm totally gonna be friends with this dude, he's absolutely awesome! You know what, Jirou and Yaoyorozu seem cool too! Kirishima is really nice, but he seems to already be entranced by Bakugo, maybe I can be friends with all of them! Mina too though, she seems really fun to be around. Ah, I wish, but I know it'll never happen. First of all, I'm too much of a dummy to ever get friends, second off, if I let my secret spill out, they'll leave me, and I'll never have friends. I've got it, I just won't approach them, and deal with having no friends! Urghhhhh but the whole point of looking like a boy was to make friends, I'm so freaking conflicted right now! I was snapped out of my trance by Shinso shaking my shoulder. "Kaminari, are you ok, you haven't talked for a while, earlier when we were walking here, you couldn't stop. What's up?" I blushed, "I'm fine, I just spaced out a bit, was there anything you needed?" "Kinda, yeah, Mina is waving us over to the table she's at. Bakugo, Yaoyorozu, Sero, Kirishima, and Jirou are with her too, let's go." I nod my head and we walk over to them together. Mina greets us with a smile, "Hey you guys! We have decided that we are going to be best friends! Were all bad bitchez, and bad bitchez should stick together!" Bakugou snarls and says, "I did not agree to this!" "Awwww come on Bakubro!" Kiri replies. "I'M NOT YOUR BRO SHITTY HAIR!!!" At this point, a homeless looking man rolls through the door in a bright yellow sleeping bag. Uraraka yelps, and Iida looks in horror. "What are you doing here sir! This is UA High School, the only people allowed here are students and faculty members!" "I am a faculty member." The man says. Shinso looks up at the voice, "Dad, why are you so late, it's been like, an hour, we even already got through introductions." I look at Shinso, "That's your dad? And our homeroom teacher?" "Uhhhhh, yeah I am,'' the man says sleepily. "My name is Shota Aizawa, I'm your homeroom teacher, and yes, Shinso is my kid. Now, I wanna sleep so go do your thing or something." He curls back up into his sleeping bag, and as soon as his head hits the floor, he is out cold. "Uh, well that was something, let's all get back to talking now then!" Hagakure exclaims. All of us talk for a while, and as soon as we know it, the school day is over. "Shit, we never got our dorm arrangements, Shinso, can you wake up your dad and ask him?" Shinso rolls his eyes and walks over to his dad to ask him for the papers, Aizawa pulls the paper out and hands them to Shinso, as he does that he tells Shinso something. Shinso walks back and tells us while handing the dorm arrangements to Momo, "Iida, you're fast, could you get Present Mic and ask him to bring us to the dorms, he's the english teacher right down the hall, yellow cockatoo hair, you can't miss him." Iida runs off to go get Present Mic, and faster than you can say Sonic, he's back. Mic leads us to the dorms, and calls out the room assignments. "ALLLLL RIGHT!!!!! ON THE GIRL'S SIDE! URARAKA AND TSUYU, ROOM 1! HAGAKURE AND MINA, ROOM 2! JIROU AND YAOYOROZU, ROOM 3! ON THE BOY'S SIDE! MIDORIYA AND TODOROKI, ROOM 1! KIRISHIMA AND BAKUGOU, ROOM 2! SATO AND KODA, ROOM 3! IIDA AND AOYAMA, ROOM 4! SHOJI AND TOKOYAMI, ROOM 5! SERO AND OJIRO, ROOM 6! KAMINARI AND SHINSO, ROOM 7!" Wait, did I hear that right? He said Kaminari and Shinso, right? Oh god, this is going to be the best, and worst year e v e r .
