FLASHBACK

~

Pacing is not intentional, it just happens. Sometimes I don't even know I'm doing it, but with this pacing comes thinking. How did this happen? Liking him, I shouldn't. But this feeling, it's so heart warming. Here I am, in the Ravenclaw common room nervous as ever, and it's all because of Fred. His stupid cheeky smile, with that unforgetable laugh, plays in my mind on repeat.

Luna comes down from the dorm, she tilts her head. I smile, I can't even stand still for a second, suddenly I'm back to pacing. Which in time is wearing out the rug.

"Are you alright?"

"I could be better," I would turn to look at her, but then again, I can't stay still. "Are you heading somewhere?"

"Oh yes, Fred asked me to meet him. Told me at the Yule Ball he needed some advice.." I stop dead in my tracks. "Are you sure your alright?"

"Did he by chance mention what it was he was seeking advice on?" She shook her head, I sigh.

"Is there something I should know before I go?" My arms cross, as I bite on my nails, nervously. "Come on, you can tell me."

"Well, I didn't think it would happen, but it did. Now I'm lost, I don't know what to do. I've never felt this way about someone before."

"Well, are you going to tell me." I sigh. How is she so smart and wise, yet has no clue.

"Gosh Luna, I like Fred!" I smile. She smiled back at me, she walks over to me baring a hug.

"Thank you for telling me," She hugs me, tightly. "Well, I should get going now. I still have to meet Fred. I'll tell you how it goes," She winks at me. "Be back shortly." When she's gone, I jump up and down with excitment. Fred Weasley, a handsome devil he is. There was something about the prank he pulled, I just, loved it.

My families always been so uptight, him pulling the prank, which wasn't even meant for me, it really loosened something in my heart. After that night, they taught me how to have fun, without me knowing. I laugh, then smile again. Gosh, my cheeks hurt from smiling so much. I haven't smiled this much since I first came to Hogwarts, now look at me, a boy has made me smile. I sit by the fire, this reminds me of the first time I even talked to him, that night will forever be my favorite. As I'm waiting for Luna to come back, I'm thinking I could write a letter to him.

~

Dear Fred,

You pulling that prank, which of course wasn't meant for me, brought life and light into my life. I want to thank you, you've taught me to live a little. Coming from an uptight family has it perks, but it has it's flaws too.

When growing up I was taught that pranks were disrespectful and childish. Why you might ask, well, I was around 8 years old when I pulled my first prank on my mother. I put fireworks in the house with tripwires, when she walked over a tripwire they would go off. Though of course you know that.

But again thank you for putting light back into my life, you've made me live a little, and I will continue to put that to good use. Thank you.

I miss you, though it's only been a week since the Yule Ball.

Truly yours, Fenella

I seal the letter, running out into the corridor. I see George, lucky me. I walk over to him.

"Hey George," He turns to face me, smiling.

"I think you got the wrong brother, are you looking for Fred?" I smile.

"Well yes, but no," He tilts his head. "I just need you to give him this letter, when you see him again. No rush at all, I don't think it's that important anyways. But if you could give it to him, I would appreciate it."

"I sure can," I smile. "See you around Fenella." He walks off with the letter, I run back to the common room. I sit beside the fire again, this time I decide I could use a nap. I lay back and rest my eyes, it's now quiet.
