Fred's POV

George handed me a letter from Fenella, she hand written earlier. I open and read it, it's sweet, like her. Most times. I can't help but smile, I decide to write back, so I sit down and get to writing.

Dear Fenella,

I'm glad to have brought some good old fun into your bookworm of a life. I knew there was something about you, you couldn't stop smiling after we told you about the prank. I just knew you must have loved pranks at some point in your life.

I know coming from an uptight family must be difficult, you should come to our house sometime. Then you might change your mind about your family, it's very chaotic.

Also should have told you this at the dance, but, maybe work on your dancing a little... I'm only kidding, but you did hit me in the face with your arm.

I miss you too,

Truly yours, Fred

I give the letter to Luna whom I founding standing outside the Ravenclaw common room.

"Could you give this to Fenella, please." She nods. I go back to the Gryffindor common room, my smile never leaves my face.

I can now say, I am truly, deeply in love.

FLASHBACK

~

Weeks went by, everyday I was with Fred. He's always teaching me new pranks to do, so these past few weeks I've been working on pranks with Fred and George. It's been a hell of a time, my parents send me letters asking me about how they hear that I'm playing pranks on students, as always, I lie to them saying they must get me mistaken with someone else. As always, they feed into my lies, they eat them right out of the palm of my hand. I couldn't let them know I was doing pranks, they would name me as a disgrace to our family.

Fred and I were sitting in the Gryffindor common room, Luna and George were talking on the other side of the room. The fire was crackling, I was freezing, I cross my arms to try and contain my body heat.

"Cold?" Fred grabbed a blanket from the side of the couch.

"Yeah, it's freezing in here.." He laughed.

"Well, we are in the middle of December." I snatch the blanket from him, rolling my eyes.

"Oh really now? The middle of December is freezing, who would have thought that!" I giggle.

"Oh you think it's so funny huh? Well watch this." Fred comes at me, arms out. Soon enough he's tickling me, he's directly above me. Laughing continues, a little snort comes out. I cover my mouth, he stops tickling me.

"Did you just-"

"Yes, I did... this is so embarrasing." I cover my face with my hands, he moves them away. Holding my hands, I blush, the heat of my cheeks radiate leaving me cold again.

"It's not embarrasing, I think it's adorable. Along with you blushing." His cheeky smile haunting me yet again, but gosh, it's so adorable. I can't help but smile with him.

"You really think so?"

"I know so, darling. So I was thinking," I bundle the blanket around me. "Would you like to tour the muggle world with me tomorrow night?" I smile.

"Fred Weasley, are you asking me on a date?" He smirks.

"Maybe... or maybe I just want to take you there so I can leave you there. No silly, this is a date..I am asking you...on a date. Fenella Evermore..." I blush once again, gosh this boy.

"Then yes, Fred Weasley, I will go on a date with you." He gets up from the couch, then looking at me mischievously he picks me up, tossing me over his shoulder.

"Fred! Hey, put me down!" I'm laughing to hard now, this boy really has taken a toll on my heart, of course in a amazing way. He spins me around.

American Pie - Don Mclean (play this song)

He sets me down, I smile.

"Hear this song?" I nod. "Dance with me?" He smirks.

"I thought I was no good?" He chuckles. I roll my eyes.

"Just don't hit me in the face, like last time... you gave me a bloody nose. Who would have thought you were that strong.." I laugh, giving him a slight push.

"Hey, not all girls are damsel's in distress." I raise my eyebrow, he takes my hands and we dance by the fire. Smiling, laughing, and just having a grand old time. At this point, I wasn't cold anymore.

Minutes later the song was over, we were both hot now. I move the blanket out of the way, sitting on the couch, Fred next to me.

"How is it you always make me smile?" He faces me.

"Do I?" I lick my lips slightly, which then turns into a cheeky smile.

"Yes, Fred. You make me smile, you make me happy, you make me absolutely lucky." His hand is now cupping my face. He smiles.

"You too, Fenella. You make me fortunate to have you in my life. Maybe it was fate when Mrs. Umbridge sent you to get firewood, huh?"

"I don't think I liked that fate then," We laugh, he holds my hands in his. "We could always make a different one..."

"I think I like the first one..." I giggle. "Come here." He holds me close, my head on his chest. I'm cold again, I try reaching for the blanket without moving to much, his long arms reach for it pulling it over me. I can then relax, and in that moment everything was perfect.

It was a perfect I'd had never felt before, I liked it. It was different, and I like change. But this change will forever be permanent, because I'm not letting my happiness slip through my fingers again. This perfect will last me a life time.
