You were currently sitting besides an unconscious boy on the beach, deep in your own thoughts at the events that had just transpired.
"How the hell did this happen..." You thought to yourself, looking back at the boy, then at the sand near the crashing waves on your other side.
--
It finally happened, you were accepted into the infamous Hope's Peak Academy. Your father, your co-workers, your subordinates were all ecstatic for you. Of course, you promised that your schoolwork wouldn't interfere with your work, the one thing you'd basically been trained to do your whole life.
As you stood in front of the school you had enamored since forever, you stepped forward, excited for this new chapter in your book of life. The excitement didn't last forever, though, because as soon as you stepped in front of the gates, you felt a sense of drowsyness come over your senses.
"Wh...What? What is this...?" You thought, before your legs completely gave out, and you passed out completely on the floor.
...
Now, you had completely lost sense of what happened to you, but you felt your consciousness come back to you.
You felt yourself wake up in a pitch black room. After realizing that you were awake, you immediately brought your hands up to your face, feeling to make sure you were you. Next you moved to your shoulders, your abdomen, your breasts. After realizing that you, were in fact, you, you decided to feel inside your pockets to make sure everything you kept with you was still there.
Extra piercings? Check. Miniature piercing equipment? Yep. Pen? Still there. Miniature switchblade? Yes sir.
After a sigh of relief left your lips as you looked up and saw a big, wooden door. Feeling drawn to the light emitting from the door, you found yourself subconsciously moving towards it, extending your arms to push the door open.
Opening the door, the light inside of the room came quickly to your eyes, causing you to squint to adjust yourself to the sudden brightness. There were fifteen other people inside the classroom type room, and you didn't know who they were. After closing the door behind you, a voice spoke.
"Hey...are you also a freshman at this school?" A voice asked, which made you think.
Well, yeah, you were supposed to be going to Hope's Peak Academy today, but you didn't have any explanation as to why you passed out suddenly. Sure, you had been prone to passing out due to fatigue and hunger really quite often, but today you felt fine! You had actually gotten sleep the night before, and even actually ate something before you made your way for Hope's Peak.
"Uh...yeah. I am." You said, to particularly no one, considering you didn't even know who was speaking to you. After a few moments of a weird silence, you opted towards moving to a desk near the back of this...'classroom'. After a few minutes of waiting and spinning your pen between your fingers, yet another student came in.
"...Who goes there?" A voice asked the new boy that came in, and due to his reaction, you could tell he was confused.
"I assume...freshman like us have been gathered in this classroom." A feminine voice spoke.
"...Hey, why don't you come inside for now?" A bigger man ordered of the boy who had just come inside, to which the new boy obliged. Like yourself, he closed the door, and took the open seat next to you. You, deciding to be nice, decided to give him a small smile, to which he sort of reciprocated.
Everything still felt weird to you, why did you pass out? Why did you wake up in a weird, pitch black room? Why was there a weird wooden door inside the black room, and why were you so drawn to it? Well, it could've been because it was the only thing in your line of sight, or just the room in general. The light emitting from the cracks of the door didn't help with that, either. Something was off...
