Mile's POV:
She's the best part of this game, I love playing with her. I've never had such an interesting toy. I was worried I'd lost her for being such a dick today, but tonight she'll know.
"MILES!" Flora shouted snapping me out of my thought. "Yeah?" I questioned a little annoyed why she did so. "It's time to start, Rosie is it!" She yelled running off. My Rose shined the flashlight on me and giggled. "Flashlight tag huh?" She said with that amazing smile. "Yup, now count and come and try to find me." "Can't wait." She replied winking at me and shut her eyes like a child playing hide and seek.
"One, two, three...." Her voice faded the further I ran. I heard Flora's little footsteps up ahead. I went in that direction. She'll get caught first of course, then my plan is all set to go.
"HERE I COME!" I heard her faded yell and I smiled, oh she's coming alright. A couple minutes went by and I saw the flashlight come into view. She flashed it in Flora's direction and that's when I headed down. Down what felt like a hundred steps, but man am I gonna rock her world. I hid near the entrance so I could get her immediately. I missed the feeling of her lips on mine. I heard her light footsteps, closer and closer. I tripped over some books, making quite a loud noise. "Oh Milesss!" She sang and I slowly became frightened. She sounded a little evil.
"MILES!" A deep voice shouted behind me. My eyes widened with fear, no not this again. Please not now, not in front of my Rosie. "Caught you!" Rosie shouted wrapping her arms around me. I was hyperventilating, I couldn't breathe.
"Miles? What's going on?" I realized I was trembling in her arms. I couldn't stop, I don't want her to see me like this. "Leave, p-please." I barely got out and my face felt so hot and tears burned down my cheeks. "Miles I'm not leaving you like this. Hey just focus on me and what I say, okay?" Her voice was slightly muffled as my mind raced. I could hear my heart, THUMP THUMP. It was so loud why is it all so loud? I can't think straight.
I can't even talk straight what's wrong? I can't. I can't see anything clearly and it's all just closing in. "MILES!" Her worried tone snapped me out of it a bit. Just enough that I could see and hear her again, but the fear was still there. "Now what do you see?" She asked and I barely managed to mutter "you."
"Now what do you feel?"
"scared."
"What do you smell?"
"shampoo"
"What can you hear?"
"your voice."
I let out a breath it felt as if I'd been holding for years. "I'm here okay." She gently held my face. I nodded. "Thank you." I squeezed her tight, no one has ever calmed me down before. "I had no idea you had panic attacks..." She said and I paused a little confused. I never heard of such. "What is that?"
"Let's leave this creepy ass room and I'll tell you." That made me smile. She was so good at making me happy so easily."So it's anxiety, I have it too. It's normal and happens naturally. No one chooses it. While you'll never be able to have full control over it, you can tame it for the most part. I went to therapy for mine, and maybe you should too." She told me and grabbed my hand, stroking her thumb over mine in small circles. I nodded, I mean if what just happened to me has happened to her, and she's like this now... Maybe it will help.
"Until then, I want you to keep trying that okay? Just name what your senses are sensing, I don't understand it but it works for me." She explained and I smiled kissing her cheek. "I really appreciate you Rosie, you're so kind to me through it all. I don't deserve it." I can't believe I said some of those things to her back then.... I called her the help. A job is a job and she works hard here. She does way more than she gets paid for and regardless I shamed her of that... "It's okay Miles. I forgive you, just no more mean guy okay?" She held out her pinky with a small smile. "Okay." I linked my pinky with Rosie's.
"Morning sleepy head." I felt kisses land all over my cheek and jaw. "Good morning." I yawned blinking my eyes open to see my adorable Rosie. "So, no rush but, whenever you're ready to talk about last night. Whatever scared you like that, you can tell me. Not now, but soon okay? I was really worried about you." "Last night wasn't supposed to be like that at all Rosie, I'm sorry. I had something so nice planned-." She cut me off and pecked my lips. "Don't ever say sorry for something like that. Just open up to me that's all I ask. When you're ready of course. Also plans can be done later. Today is a beautiful day." I looked out the window and it was raining, "It is, but I have plans for you myself anyways tonight Mr. Fairchild." She gave me a smirk. "Now what plans are those exactly?" "You'll see." Was all she had to say in response.
Ah, she's playing my game isn't she?
"Miles! Rosa!" The high pitched adorable voice sounded. Then came little Flora, cute as a button. I opened my door, "yes Flora?" "Dinner is ready."Dinner made me quiet full. However I was craving something else. "We'll be right there." I smiled at Flora and she ran right back off. "First, I'd like an appetizer."
Rosa's POV:
"First I'd like an appetizer." He said and bit his lip. I couldn't help but bite mine. I can not wait for those sweet lips to be put to work once more.
