The drive up to the gate got me mesmerized by the beauty of the place. These kind of places have only existed in my dreams, and I cannot help myself but to compare this place with a fairytale. Only that I'm not some princess in despair. We drive through an ally with trees and fields full of green grass and horses on both sides, in front of us we have the main house and by its right side we seem to have the stables and by its left side the garage. And I believe the paddock and riding hose is in the back of it all. We get to a stop on the parking lot by the stable and I step out of the car in awe of the place.
"It's quite a place isn't it?" Robbie asks
A wow escapes my lips and I start to laugh at myself. "It's very beautiful indeed." I say still looking around.
Robbie stares at me grinning. "Let me show you where you'll live." He gesture for me to go to the stable. While waking I realized that I haven't seen anyone yet and felt the need of asking "Where is everyone?"
"I was about to tell you, they are out for the day on a show three hours from here but they will be back soon. Anna should be here somewhere she has the same position as you, but relax you'll meet them eventually."
"Oh, okay." I say "How come you're not with them at the competition?"
"The one horse a was supposed to bring, got a small injurie out on the field two days ago and the younger ones are in training and are not going until next weekend." He explains.
"I'm sad to hear about that injured horse I hope he or she will get better soon." I sympathies.
"Thank you, I hope so as well it's nothing big but still I don't like to have a horse in even the smallest of pain."
I immediately gain some more respect towards Mr. Robbie Smith by hearing this and it makes me glad to hear that they care about their horses. He show me to a staircase in the back of the stable that seems to be headed to the attic. When we reach the top I can see a door with one of those old looks that requires an old key that looks like to be from the 17th century. And I was not wrong about that either, because a few second later Robbie pulls out one of those old keys from his pocket and unlock the door. The first thing I see is a small hall that leads to the kitchen and there is two other rooms a bathroom and the bedroom, in my surprise the bedroom is bigger than I thought it would be and I got a shower. It do not look like much but I guess I'm not going to spend a lot of time here anyways since I have a feeling I will work quite a lot. I step inside and leave Robbie outside and put my bag next to my bed.
"I'll leave you now to settle in, but if you need anything or wondering something I will be downstairs with the horses or in my apartment on the other side of the farm." Robbie says
"Okay, thank you for your help. I guess I will make myself at home and I will see you around." I smile at him in a polite way.
"Yes we will, see ya." Robbie turns around and walk down back to the stable.
I'm finally left alone. I close the door behind me and make my way to the bedroom to make myself at home and put my belongings where I want them. There was not much to bring more than my cloths, a bunch of books and some toilet supplies such as toothbrush toothpaste, shampoo and conditioner, some towels and makeup. I also brought my own sheets, pillowcase and a duvet cover and I could not leave Miss Daisy my stuffed bear that I have had since I was a little kid at home. When I've finished unpacking my things I head to the kitchen to see what supplies I may need to cook and eat, and it turns out that I have all the equipment's but no food. Here I was sitting at the kitchen table wondering who I shall ask for a ride or to lend a car from and was not sure if I should ask Robbie or not, he already drove me here. I sit around for some time not really sure what to do but then decides to go and explore the place, as far as I know I have all day before my real work starts and what better way then look around and make myself at home. The creaky stairs makes it hard to be discreet and silent, but if Robbie was right then it should not be many people that I could bump into right now. I wish he is right. I begin to explore in the stable and see how the horses have it in their stalls and as far as I can see everything looks to be good, there are a few things I might have done differently but it's clean enough. Instead of going out the same way I came in, I take the back door to see what's behind all of the beautiful houses. The shook I get when it's so much bigger then I imagined it would be. There is a really large paddock and riding house and I've never seen such a huge and wonderful grass field with fences on it in my life, it's like a dream. I stand there with big eyes not aware of the horse in training on the grass field before it comes closer.
"Hey there, is everything all right?" Robbie ask
I did not think it was possible for a man to look so good in a riding hat, but boy he did.
"I'm alright, I'm just looking around to get to know the place and hoping to find someone to lend me a car." I answer
"I can drive you if you'll like? I'm soon done, this is the last horse for today. Where do you like to go?" He pets the horse.
"That would be really kind, if it's no problem? My eyes wander from him to the horse. "I need to go to the store to get some food." I shyly smile.
"No problem. If you'd like you can take a seat on the bench over there and see me ride or you can continue looking around." He grins
I was not sure if I wanted to give him the satisfaction in watching him ride, but at the same time it was a good opportunity to see how things are handled and how they ride.
"How long do you have left of the ride?" I ask
"Not long about fifteen minutes or something." He says
"Oh okay I'll wait on the bench then."
He shorten his reins and nod at me before continue his training while I take my place on the bench. I have to admit he is very good which also is quite annoying since I am easily jealous, it's one of the few things that I don't like about myself. I try to be happy for everyone else but it's hard when you feel like your working your butt off but don't get anything for it while other people just buy their way in or happens to have the right connections. How unfair the world can be. I've decided that I don't want to live in regret knowing that I've not fought for my dreams until it was nothing left to do.
Before I know it he was finished and we headed for the stable where we meet Anna. She kindly greets us and says hi. She has brown curly hair and blue eyes, very beautiful if you ask me. I wish I had her blue eyes but mine is more grey blueish color. Also my hair is very long and blonde. He give her the reins and we leave her to do her job, which soon will be mine too.
