Rae set her backpack next to her desk, relaxing into her seat as she had done often.
"do you guys wanna have another sleepover at my house Friday night?" Haven asked the two,

"cant. Gotta go to Clays... and, uh, help him out." Sheri explained, Haven and her spared a look,

"You like Clay?" Haven wondered aloud, 

Sheri shook her head, "We have Mrs. Soto together." 

"I dont buy it," Rae spoke, not bothering to look up as she continued doodling in her notebook,

"It's not for sale." Sheri pulled a tight lip smile causing Rae to roll her eyes.

 she soon got joined by a group of laughing jocks.

"Morning Princess." Montgomery winked at her resulting in Rae flipping him off.

He laughed with Bryce as the duo went and sat in the seats behind Scott and Rae. 

"Look, can we talk about what happened? Every time you always shut me out." Scott pleaded in a whisper.

"No. One time thing."

Rae looked in the mirror, glancing over the red silk dress that kissed her curves beautifully,

Is it too slutty?

Not revealing enough?

she couldn't help but ask herself,

Will Scott like it?

re-adjusting her hair, Rae checked her makeup in the rearview mirror.

 she opened the car door and straightened her dress out. She walked inside, immediately being met by the loud music piercing her eardrums. She searched the crowd - Sheri, Zach, Scott - anyone, Luckily, she found Jessica, Alex, and Zach in the living room, dancing.

"Look who's here." She announced to the trio, referring to herself, sliding a hand down her side;

"Rae! Yay! Youre here." Jessica slurs, stumbling her way over to Rae.

"you got drunk quick."

Jessica walked over to her, embracing her in a hug, "have I ever told you your eyes are really pretty? Like theyre so brown." Jessica spoke, trying to poke Rae's eyeball as she lifted her head from Rae's shoulder, she swatted her finger away before standing up.

"Watch her." She demanded to Clay who had been sitting there. He nodded.

 Rae found her way to the bathroom and when She left, she went down the stairs, as she was about to go back to Jessica and Clay, her name gets called by a rather familiar voice. She groaned, turning to see Montgomery, he wrapped his arm around her shoulder,

"Yes, Monty?"

"That wasn't a very friendly response." he teases.

"No drink for you, princess?" he asks, she shook her head.

"I don't drink."

"Oh come on." he pouts,

"No, Monty I'm good." She let out a huff,

"Come on, princess. Just one, for me?"

She rolled her eyes, shaking her head once more.

"No Mont-" but before she could finish,

"come on you heard her, leave her alone." A voice called out from behind u they turned to see Scott,

Montgomery took his arm off of her, putting his arms up in defense, "all right, all right, I'm off."
