Menma's POV

My whole confidence deflated at the sound of those words. I could feel the confidence deflate off everyone around me as well.

This is even worse. Not only is it a written test, but we cant even sit with our teammates. This sucks ass. I doubt Kurama will want to solve geometry problems for me. This sucks.

All the shinobi line up into a line and pick a number from the box.

I frown. I was 3 rows away from Gaara. 5 rows away from Kankuro, and 4 rows away from Temari. Great.

I frown again and hit my head on the desk in frustration.
"Um, Menma-kun." I turn my head and beside me was Hinata. I nearly jump from my seat in shock. "Hinata-Chan." I grin at her. "D-Don't worry, I have a bit of an idea o-of how to pass." She turns her head and motions behind her. I turn and see Ino 2 rows directly behind us.

Ino smirks and waves at us.

"During the test, she will link our thoughts together and then we will be able to copy off each other. She'll even try to link your siblings." Hinata whispered before leaning back over to her seat again.

"Okay!"

"Shit, Ino will link us with everyone! What about our tailed beasts?"

"What about me?"

"Kurama! Whenever she links us together, dont speak just stay quiet. I dont want Ino freaking out on me. Hinata already knows but Ino doesn't. Please tell Shukaku as well!"

I heard a growl and mumbling before it was quiet again.

I breathed in and sighed. Alright. Now to get this over with.

As the last of the students sat in their seats, the teacher silenced the class.

"Alright here are the rules...."

I flipped my sheet over and skim over the first question. 'You throw a kunai.... what angle..' what? Was this thing asking me what angle to shoot a kunai?

Why would I need to know the angle I throw a kunai at? I bit my lip and skip the question. 'Follow-up question. What speed should the kunai be thrown-' yo what the fuck type of questions are these?!?

I remember learning this back in the sand village but I really never memorized it. I just copied the kid beside me and got a b. Plus I was never good at math anyways.

I cover my face in frustration and rub my eyes. I look around and notice the jonin in the room. They were all staring deep onto us. Watching our next move.

I look over to Hinata and she was using her Byakugan. She used her hair to cover the veins that appeared in her temples. She wrote on her paper swiftly and quickly.

I glance behind me and notice Ino. It looked like she was waiting. Was she waiting for Hinata to get all the answers?

Just as I turn back, I heard a kunai being thrown. I immediately lift my hand and catch it beside my head.

"Number 66, you're out. Get your team while you're at it."

I turn and see a shocked kid behind me. "I- wha- hey! Why do I have to get out??"
