I'm getting tired of waiting

Dirk Strider sighs as he closes his notebook and starts packing up for next period. His gaze quickly shifts to Jake English,his best friend.

I'm getting tired of waiting
Do you still remember me?

There's only 5 minutes of science left,so might as well sit down and wait for the bell.

Even as a day goes by,I can't forget you
Even if a month goes by I can't let you go
Do you know that I still want you?

You've had a crush on your 'best friend' since the dawn of time. You just wish he knew how you felt about him.

I'm going crazy while waiting for you
Every single day feels like a year
I'm waiting
I'm getting tired of waiting

The two of you would be an item. But there's one problem...Jake isn't gay.But everyone knows that Dirk is a flaming homo.It would be SO much easier if Jake was gay. You spend every single day thinking about Jake.

It feels like you could come back any second
It feels like I could turn around and see you
I'm just getting tired,I'm just getting tired

Sometimes you look yourself in your bedroom,thinking about life and how sweet it would be if you and Jake where together. You do this when you're annoying little brother,Dave,is out doing some shit with his boyfriend,John.

My head feels so complicated,I could explode
I'm waiting and waiting but no word from you

You don't realize it but you've been staring at Jake for quite a while. He turns around and looks at you. You love him so much it hurts

There's no way you could leave me because of me
It's so hard for me right now,it's hard for me

Jake stands up and walks over to you.

"Dirk,are you alright?" He gives you a shake. "Dirk!" You finally snap out of your trance.

I'll wait even if its a year
I'll wait even if its 10 years
I don't care if I get tired of waiting for you

"Yeah?"

"Are you alright? You seem to be lost in thought" You shake your head.

"I'm alright"

"Oh okay" Jake stops talking.

"Uh,Dirk?" He looks at you with a face of worry.

"Yeah?"

It feels like you could come back any second

"Can I stay at your house for a while?"
