Renesmee Reid College AU

Retirement.

Playing with the small group of friends she made, Renesmee would smile jumping around with them. Reid watched through the slit of glass in a door before turning to face the Male sitting at his desk signing papers. "Mr.Reid are you ready to care for and nourish Renesmee Cullen until she becomes an adult, even then be there for her whenever she needs you?"

"It's doctor and yes I am more than prepared to care for her." Reid sat down pulling his hands from his pockets as he takes the pen signing the papers. While Reid was signing the papers a woman would walk over to Renesmee telling her to grab her things, a slightly sad face would gather onto her face though she would listen to the womans words. Walking to her room she would grab her many drawings away well as an Ipod that was donated to the state and given to her, also a few pairs of clothes and a maroon colored backpack. Putting all of her stuff into the bag she would walk back out the woman now telling her to put her shoes on.

Her friends would look at her sad after her shoes were on, all of them giving her a big group hug knowing that she was leaving. Smiling she would hug them back and speak softly "I promise I will write letters and pictures to you guys" her friends would gently let her go at the sound of the woman calling her. Waving to them she would walk to the woman being guided through the front part of the building her eyes down at the floor.

~ The front of the building~

Reid would stand waiting anxiously papers in one of his hands the other picking at itself out of habit, he was excited to see the little girl who loved classical. Walking out Renesmee would slowly look up, seeing the curly haired Male his face lighting up as well as hers "Reid!!" She yelled out as she ran to him, Reid bending down opening his arms for a heart warming embrace. Renesmee would jump into his arms hugging him with the same strength she did about 3 weeks ago. They hugged tightly as he picked her up nodding his head to the woman before signing out, walking towards the front door.

Stepping out Reid would look over to a Male leaning against the wall of the brick building. Renesmee basically jumping out of Reid's arms would run to the Male "JAKE!!" she screamed out tears now rolling down her cheeks. Jake would catch her in an embrace holding her tight before standing up walking closer to Reid. "Alright let's go" Jacob says walking towards a black SUV with a dark tent on the windows, Reid following behind as one of the two hardest things in his day was over.

Setting the 8 year old in her booster seat Jacob would buckle, Renesmee in before sitting in the passenger seat Reid getting in and starting the car. They drove as Reid tapped his fingers against the steering wheel nervously getting closer to the BAU headquarters, "Hey man what are you doing?" Jacob asks as Renesmee was asleep after 10 minutes of being in the car. Reid sighed softly as he parked the car looking at Jacob "I-Ill be right back."

~In the meeting room~

Everyone would be sat down discussing a new case, Hotch tapping his foot under the table waiting for Reid. Stepping into the room Reid would swallow hard looking as if he had just saw a ghost. "Hello everyone... I would just like to say I got full custody of Renesmee and that I am laying down my badge to take care of her..." Reid said as everyone was about to cheer. Everyone's faces saddened watching Reid place his things onto the table, getting a giant hug from everyone individually.

"I promise I will stay in contact." Reid says with one final goodbye before walking back out of the office, his hands trembling.
