Renesmee Reid College AU

Fever Dream.

Reids eyes shot open as he sat up quickly, the smell of bacon in his nose. Sunlight shining in his eyes as he looked over towards the kitchen "Renesmee are you okay?!?" He asked in a panicked tone. Renesmee would chuckle a bit putting some bacon on the three plates, "Yeah I'm fine, I should be asking you the same thing." She said her golden eyes looking at her father, who was now in front of her. Wiping the sweat from his brow he would look down at her seeing that he was a few feet taller than her.

Renesmee would place her hand gently onto her father's head sighing a bit "You feel really warm, you should go lay down." She would take his hand walking him to the room. Reid not saying a word would follow behind, unclipping his gun from his belt and laying in his bed. "I'll bring your food to you." Renesmee says as she kisses her father's head walking back out to see Jacob looking directly at her.

"I can smell it on you." Jacob said a stern tone in his voice.

"I didn't do it on purpose." Renesmee replied back after closing her father's door.

"I thought you weren't going to be like them. I thought you said you would never do that." Jacob stepped closer.

"I had to protect him." Renesmee replied simply walking back to the kitchen to plate the food. Jacob would grab her arm to make her face him, Renesmee pushing his chest causing him to go flying back into the wall.

"Look at you, your on a high from doing it." Jacob said standing once more.

"Jacob Black, I did what I had to for the protection of my family. That is that, there was nothing more to it now drop it." Renesmee says before handing Jacob a plate of food grabbing the other walking towards her father's room.

~Inside the room~

Reids head would be spinning as flashes of the event from last night would show in his mind. His head would spiral, jumping from the knock on the door. Renesmee walking in would sigh seeing her father strung all over the bed. "Renesmee what happened last night??" Reid asked persistently, a confused look coming onto Renesmee's face.

"Dad nothing happened last night...you came in when Jake and I were asleep on the couch and I'm pretty sure you passed out on the floor. I didn't know what to do so I left you there and made sure you were breathing. You know you work to hard sometimes..." A sad expression would come onto her face.

Reid sighed as he looked down at his clammy hands, which were shaking. "I have been working really hard that might be the case." He would then look back to his daughter who was now crying. "Don't cry I promise I will be fine, how about this... I'll call out for the next week and we can hangout since summer break is almost over for you."

Renesmee walked over setting the plate down and sitting on the bed next to her father, wiping away her tears "Okay dad.." she says softly welcoming her dad into a soft embrace.

~Out in the Livingroom~

Jacob sat eating and thinking, a soft growl leaving his lips as he didn't even know what happened last night. Wiping the sweat from his face he would stand up walking over to the AC unit "damn it's hot in here." He said swinging open the door a powder all over everything in the small closet. "What the-"

Renesmee would look over his shoulder sighing, Jacob turning to look at her. "Someone broke in last night and put that all in the air system, causing you and dad to pass out. He had a gun pointed at dad's head. Like I said I did what I had to." She would then hand a mask to Jacob "I have to take care of my father, can you please clean that out so we can turn the AC back on?" With a huff and a sigh Jacob would put the mask on taking the Unit apart with the very few tools Reid had.
