Chapter 10

"It's already the second day after the operation. Why does he isn't waking up yet, Doc?" Asked Mr. Xiao to the Doctor that is rounding for checkups.

"Don't worry, Mr.Xiao, he lost too much blood, but everything is fine. His body is strong now and he will wake up anytime soon." replied the Doctor. "And by the way, the results of the DNA test you requested are already in my office. Come with me to my office." The Doctor added and the couple followed the Doctor to his office.

"Mr. and Mrs. Xiao, here are the results, please read them and I will explain if there's anything you don't understand," Said the Doctor.

The couple was teary-eyed after reading the test results.
"Honey, it's positive, he is our son, he is our Riri. Oh, God! Thank you so much." Zoe couldn't hide her excitement and happiness then embraced her husband forgetting the single Doctor in front of them who is feeling happy for the couple.

"So as you can see, all the tests that we conducted were 99.99% +. I am 100% sure that he is your long-lost son. Congratulations Mr. and Mrs.Xiao. I am happy for you. Now go, he might be awake now." The Doctor shoo them out of his office in a friendly manner.
The husband and wife thanked the kind Doctor again and stormed out of the Doctor's office and went to Shin's room.

Shin slowly opened his eyes and roamed around the surroundings. After a short while, he remembered what happened and why he was in this place. Shin looked at the people around him

"Uncle, Aunt, sister Lulu, Marius. You all are here, did I make you worried?" He said.

"Are you serious? You idiot! Why are you crossing the street without looking at the signal lights and running like an idiot? Are you a kid?" Marius berated him.

"Marius, that's enough, Shin just woke up. You can scold him later," said Lulu
"I will call the Doctor, don't force yourself yet," said Uncle Feng

"Yes Uncle, and Aunt Yu thanks for taking care of me." Said, Shin
Don't thank us, Shin. We're not the ones who took good care of you." She replied, gesturing her hand to the couch where Mr. and Mrs. Xiao are seated.

"Mr. and Mrs.Xiao brought you here after you were hit by a car. And Mrs. Xiao also donated her blood to save your life. She is the one you should be thankful for right now," Marius butts in.

Mr.and Mrs.Xiao rose and hugged Shin. Shin was surprised by the action of the husband and wife. He was a bit puzzled but he gladly hugged them back and thanked them for saving his life.

The Doctor arrives and does some rounds of checkups again to make sure that everything is fine with Shin.

"Hmm, I think you are perfectly fine, you're recovering fast and that's good just one day's rest. And we can discharge you by the next day. However, refrain from working within three weeks until your wounds are fully healed. that's all." the Doctor said
"Understand Doc. Thank you," -Shin

The Doctor left followed by Mr. and Mrs. Xiao
Outside Shin's room.
Doc. Is it fine if we tell him about us now? but If there's any risk in his health we can wait." asked Mr. Xiao

"Absolutely yes, as I said earlier he is perfectly fine and his wounds have almost healed.

"Thank you so much, Doc." The couple then gets back inside the room.
Shin was eating his favorite Lotus rib soup made by Aunt Yu and Lulu.

"After Shin finished his food, Mr. and Mrs. Xiao glanced at Feng and Yu. They just nod to Mr. and Mrs. Xiao as an understanding. They left the room and left the family to have their time together.
Mr. and Mrs. Xiao already told them of what happened back then and their relationship with Shin or should we say, Ryder Xiao.
