"Aivelle Westron!"
Karin flinched and immediately had her head look down at the floor as the man in front of her shouted the fake name she had been using and slammed his hand at the countertop.
"How many times do I have to tell you to not pick up a fight with the customers?! But what is this?! Tell me!"
She then looked around the first floor of the restaurant and bit down on her lower lip.
All that could be seen are pieces of broken furniture and plates, lying around, along with unfinished food splattered on the floor and the cracked walls.
It was as if a storm had passed by.
And the truth isn't too far from that.
"But those bastards were doing such unforgivable things so I was just-!"
"But it isn't necessary to go extreme like this! Because of you, all of our customers ran away!"
Karin can only shut her mouth after hearing the man shout once again. She knew that if she kept shouting, he'll only get angrier.
'But they are pretty strong as mercenaries, so I have to use this much... I also tried talking to them but it won't work... It's not like I could just leave them alone when they are like that...'
Few hours ago, there was a group of mercenaries who were drinking to themselves. It seemed that they had come here after finishing a mission as Karin could see small scars in their bodies using her great eyesight.
Of course, that wasn't the problem at all.
The problem was that they started molesting the waitresses shamelessly. They even had the guts to complain when the other employees tried to stop them.
Karin tried to ignore it and let it go. She didn't want to cause problems for the restaurant. But then, she kept remembering her dead father's words. She should not leave someone's wrongdoings unpunished.
So that was exactly what she did.
"But they were stubborn... I tried asking them nicely at first, but they still continued. The only thing to stop such perverted bastards was violence..."
But she didn't expect that their fight would leave such mess. She didn't think that they would be so strong to be able to even make her spend a quite amount of mana.
"Haaa... you... Forget it."
The man pointed his finger at Karin, wanting to say more. But he just gave up and sighed. There is no use to talking to rocks after all.
"Everyone, we will start cleaning up this place tomorrow. For now, go home and get some rest. Go, I don't want to see your faces for the rest of the day."
After hearing the man's words, all employees except Karin quickly took their leave while giving her a glance filled with pity.
'Wait, you guys are just leaving me here? No, help me! Don't go!'
Karin pleaded them to not go away with her eyes. There was no way she would be able to take the scolding. But they just ignored her and left. Soon, her eyes which was previously pleading now glared at them sharply.
She got rid of those mercenaries molesting them and were causing problems by wasting a lot of energy and mana, but they didn't even spare any help when she needed it?
How ungrateful.
"You really are a troublesome child, aren't ya?"
But she had no time to think about her coworker's betrayal as the man spoke once again after everyone left.
