RIKKI: Because, the first girl should never say it first. It's against the rules, you can't give the second girl with that kind of power. You do that and you'll send the women's moving back for fifty years! And I am two years away from voting, and you will not take that away from me!
LIV: But I do love her.
RIKKI: Yeah, and I love jam. But you don't see me making a fool of myself in front of a jar of extra fruity!
LIV: Well, I don't care, Rikki. Listen, I love her and I'm 'gonna tell her.
RIKKI: But Liv, what if she doesn't love you back? What if she's in love with somebody else because they're...I 'dunno... adorable or something? Oh, my brain. I need to read a book. In a minute.
LIV: Do you know something I don't?
RIKKI: (clears her throat) How would I know anything? I was at the diner, for the meeting. It's not like I can hear things like in that totally unrealistic Kate Hudson movie. Oh, I need to read a book, gotta be back in a minute.
LIV: Rikki, I know how she feels. I can tell by the way he looks at me! Even when I have a pimple. I never told you this, but...that's why he calls my full first name Olivia.
RIKKI: I could've gone my whole life not knowing that.
LIV: I'm 'gonna go get ready. Oh, oh, can I borrow your no-smudge lipstick? I think it might come in handy, if you know what I mean!
RIKKI: You might want to borrow my water-proof mascara instead.
LIV: Right! Because I'll be so happy I'll cry.
RIKKI: Well you're half right.
LIV: What do you mean?
RIKKI: Well, I can pretty much guarantee crying, it's just...the happy I'm not so sure about. Liv, I didn't want to tell you this before, but... about Maddie... she doesn't love you.
LIV: Of course she does!
RIKKI: No, she doesn't. Remember the time when I was in the meeting at the diner and everyone thought that I couldn't hear it as usual? Well, I could... and I heard her say that she... doesn't love you.
LIV: She doesn't love me?
RIKKI: It's true, Liv.
LIV: No, Rikki you had to be dreaming.
RIKKI: If I was dreaming would I have heard this? (clenches Liv's jaws) Liv is perfect! She's cool and she works it!
