“Juliette.”

The platinum blonde haired Princess turned around, her eyes reflecting her own confusion. “Elsa? You’re here, in my room, and not in your cell?”

The woman smiled at the young girl, but Juliette knew she was hiding something, and perhaps she was going to tell her what it is now. But Elsa never held any secret behind her back; she mostly would talk about anything she was questioned to.

“I’m… free.” Elsa replied, “I’m no longer a prisoner.”

“Is this how my Mother paid you for saving me?” the Princess asked, “Then what, Elsa? If you’re free, then you’ll leave? Please don’t leave, Elsa!”

“She won’t leave.”

Juliette looked behind the platinum blonde haired woman, where her Mother was standing by the doorway. But she didn’t have the strict, regal, and composed look on her. She looked… happy, even when her eyes were red like she just cried, she had a smile on her face. But what could possibly make her Mother cried? She barely ever cried.

“What do you mean, Mother? Elsa is free but yet you said she won’t leave… is she going to be one of the maids here?”

The Queen shook her head. “She’s not going to work here as a maid.”

“We… have something that you should know about.”

And so they asked the Princess to sit down on her bed and to listen as they explained to her who Elsa really was and how Juliette ended up in the care of her aunt who claimed as her Mother, why Elsa was imprisoned for twelve years, and the true identity of Juliette’s father.

“You’re… my Mother?”

Elsa nodded, slowly as not to startle the Princess, with a small smile on her face. “Yes… I’m your Mother.”

Slowly, Juliette slid down from her bed and took a few steps forward, green eyes never tearing it’s gaze away from the woman standing in front of her. Elsa knelt down and opened her arms as soon as the girl ran toward her and threw herself into her embrace.

“Mama!”

Elsa sniffled as she held her daughter close, the first time after twelve years old being apart from her, she just won’t let go, not anymore. “Juliette…”

“I know you’re familiar, even when it’s only vaguely…” the Princess said as she snuggled close into the crook of her Mother’s neck. “I know it, Mama.”

Anna could feel her heart hurt, crumbled in jealousy and sadness, as she watched the mother-and-daughter finally able to embrace each other. It stung really bad, even worse than when Elsa struck her with her power, because it was not cold, it was burning. But she kept it to herself as she quietly took a step back, ready to exit the room to let them be alone.

“Mother,”

She stopped in her track; back already turned and tears pooled in her eyes. Juliette’s sweet voice stopped her feet, and she reached up to wipe away the salty water in her eyes before she turned back around to see her niece and sister still crouching on the floor, but the Princess was looking up at her, one hand raised as to invite her.

“Juliette, but I-”

“You’re my aunt, technically, but you’ve raised me as your own daughter for years, you take care of me and love me with no hate at all. You’re still my Mother.” the Princess told her, “Besides, we’re family. And family means nobody is getting left behind, or forgotten.”
