Today was the big day. I was turning 16 years old. To many others, July 15 1976 was just a boring Thursday but to me, Afrodita Skyes it was a huge deal. I'm a woman now. I could freely lose my virginity (not that I wanted to, just stating a fact), I could legally drive and a lot of other things that don't really matter to me. I ran downstairs to ask Euphemia a question but I saw something that broke the heart I didn't even know I had. Marlene and Sirius acting all couply and shit. I wanted to go over there and spit on then but I didn't. I ran upstairs, locked myself in the guest room and started balling my eyes out like any other person would do after the person they loved didn't love them back. I cried and cried until there was a nock at her door "Fro are you alright?" Lily. I quickly wiped my eyed and opened the door "Yeah, of course. Why?" She didn't look like she believed me "The guests are coming in a few hours, just wanted to let you know" she said with a sad smile "All right" I closed my door before she got to say anything else. The mirror in the room was the first thing I looked at in am hour. "You absolutely should not cry over your best friend's boyfriend. That is immature and you are being a shitty friend. No one gives a fuck about your feelings you brat!" I yelled at myself in the mirror. I couldn't stand seeing myself vulnerable so I decided to not see myself at all. I punched the mirror with full force. At first I didn't feel anything but about 2 seconds later I felt the urge to cry and scream, which is what i did. I didn't care who heard me. It felt like my hand was being burned by a dragon. A worried Remus burst trough the door "What the fuck?! Afrodita!" he came over to me "Let's go downstairs, ok?" he said, his voice not being much louder than a whisper. I just nodded my head, talking physically hurt. We slowly went into the dining room where I was bombarded with questions from my friends. I guess James's parents weren't home... "WOULD YOU SHUT UP" I finally spoke after Remus healed my hand "All right, what happened babe? " asked a concerned Marlene "Nothing happened, I got annoyed of seeing myself cry so I punched the mirror to not see myself anymore, that's it" it took all my power to smile "Why the hell would you be crying on your birthday?!" yelled Sirius "Like that's any of your buisness! How about you keep your tongue in Marlene's mouth rather than use it to talk!" They were all shocked "Mabey I will!" he grabbed Marlene's hand and left I felt a new wave of tears come, so I let them drown me. "Hey, it's alright" Lily hugged me "My lovely Lily flower such a kind person" we both flipped him off while laughing "Sirius is very thick is he not?" Peter asked "What do you mean?" A curious Moony spoke "He had a girl so visibly in love with him, and he decided to get with her best friend" "Is it that obvious?" I asked "It's not, but we're not completely oblivious" pointed out Remus "The way you look at him is just- Godric it's gross. Having your sister look at your best friend like that is gross" James scrunches his nose We all laughed ~time skip, in Afrodita's room at the Potter's~ "I have something to tell you" spoke Marlene getting up from my vanitiy chair "Sure, what's up" I was really curious "Me and Sirius, we were never together" "Excuse me?" ooh, Lily was getting annoyed "We were never together" she said "Why?"
