The next morning, they packed up their supplies from the hotel and started walking to an empty field to start Naruto's training. However, Naruto had something to tell Jiraiya-Sensei about his Sharingan to help during his training and to know more about it.

"Hey Jiraiya-Sensei, I gotta tell you something," Naruto said. "What do you want?" Jiraiya grumpily answered. "Did you know that I have the Sharingan?" Naruto plainly asked while Kurama sweat dropped at his question. "GAH, what did you say?" Jiraiya stupidly answered.

"I was just going to tell you I had the Sharingan to try to advance it to the next level during my training trip with you and to also help me during training." Naurto said. "Well, I guess I should tell you some more about your lineage that only Kushina, your mother and I knew. So as of now, you are probably who your father's parents were, correct?" Jiraiya told Naruto. "Yep, old fuzzball also wants to know too," he answered back. "Call me fuzzball again and I'll eat you!" Kurama roared. Naruto thought back, "Fine."

"Okay, well then I'll tell you now but you can't tell a soul until you are ready to defend yourself against powerful enemies, alright?" Jiraiya questioned Naruto. "Okay so you think I could either reveal my lineage during the Chunin Exams or after?" Naruto asked. "Yep, that's fine and anyways I'm going to start the story so shut up and listen," Jiraiya said. "So your father's dad was Madara Uchiha but his mother's name was never known. Madara did have a wife but she died a little while after giving birth to Minato and then left Madara in his grief. To cope, he trained Minato until he was strong enough to protect himself and then dropped him off at Konoha because he knew that Hashirama would make sure he was safe there. Anyways, that's all I know and probably what Kushina knew. So gaki, you understand how you got the Sharingan in the first place?" Jiraiya finished.

"Well, I knew that one or both of my father's parents had to be Uchiha since my mother's side wasn't so I guess I knew up to that but never thought that Madara would be my grandfather," Naruto said. "Okay so since our history lesson is over, what stage is your Sharingan at?" Jiraiya asked. Well, right now it has one tomoe in one eye and two in another so I'm going to try to get both eyes to three once our training trip is over," Naruto answered.

"Alright, so let's start our training. So what is chakra?" Jiraiya asked, leaving Naruto with a deadpan expression. "Humor me, just answer the question gaki," Jiraiya said. "Hai, Hai. Chakra is a type of energy that people received from Hagoromo Otsutsuki and used it to knead chakra which was called ninjutsu," Naruto said. "Good, so in order to use the correct amount of chakra in your ninjutsu and not waste chakra, you have to get good chakra control by climbing up a tree with only your feet," Jiraiya told Naruto. "Okay so coat your foot with chakra but if you do too much, the tree will blow up and if you do too little, you will fall off the tree."

"Easier said than done," Naruto muttered. "It's all your fault Kurama. All that damn chakra you're giving me is making this impossible to master this, damnit." Kurama growled, "Stop complaining about how much chakra you have. That's a good thing once you're in battle since you can use a lot of ninjutsu and not tire out easily."

After hours of trying and blowing up trees, Naruto finally reached the top of the tree and marked it with the kunai. Meanwhile, Jiraiya was just peeking on some girls at the lake while hidden in the bushes. Once they left, Jiraiya finally got up and went to check upon Naruto. It seemed like he had the best timing because the moment he went back, Naruto finally reached the top of the tree.

To celebrate, they went to hot springs as a sensei and apprentice. However, after discussing some things, Jiraiya said he will go to the bathroom and be back. Since he was becoming bored, he decided to just go peek on the women's side of the hot springs for a while until he became hungry. Just as a pissed off Naruto was going to get Jiraiya, he heard a scream and Jiraiya screaming in pain while he flew through the air. Naruto thought to Kurama, "Damn, so that was what he was doing this entire time. He needs no feelings from anyone since he deserved that."

"So finally decided to stop peeking, Ero-Sennin?" Naruto asked a groaning Jiraiya who was nursing his manhood. "Yeah yeah, gaki. So I see that you made some progress on the tree climbing exercise?" Jiraiya asked through his pain. "Yup, I'm done so what's next?" Naruto asked excitedly. "All right, so the next is the water walking exercise and then to do that, you will have to..." Jiraiya droned. Five minutes later, "You done explaining?" Naruto asked with a bored expression. Jiraiya just muttered something about disrespectful blondes and told Naruto to just start with the exercise and tell him when he was finished.

Finally, night fell and then Jiraiya told a pissed off Naruto who kept plopping into the water to pack up and get ready to head off to the nearest hotel. After much convincing, he finally obliged and then started walking.

---At Night Inside of the Hotel---

Naruto thought, "Hey Kurama, how will I advance my Sharingan to three tomoes?" Kurama responded, "You could either go through huge amounts of grief by killing your best friend, keeping it active all the time while training vigorously, or having the intention to sacrifice yourself for others when in times of trouble." "Good to know. Thanks Kurama." Naruto responded while he drifted to sleep.
