New beginnings.

Shibuya, such a lively place filled with lights, sounds and smells you'd never get used to, no matter how many times you'd wake up here there will always be something brand new. Today's new addition: A new branch of the Amagi inn; a branch located far from the main branch and in a more populated location run by the eldest child of the Amagi family.

A young man with pitch black, scruffy hair and warm brown eyes steps off a train, taking a deep breath of fresh air with a smile. "New day, new city, new adventures!" He mutters to himself before grasping his phone and looking at the clock. "I've got time." The 17-year-old feet hit against the cold ground as he begins his walk towards his destination. As he gets closer, he adjusts his new uniform, his thumb rubbing against the engraved number 3 on the collar to the large building now in sight. "Shujin academy, the scandalous school of perverts and suicidal principles." He jokes to nobody; he trudges up the stairs and slips through the door, being greeted by a girl with piercing red eyes and short brown hair. "You're fifteen minutes early." She comments.
"As are you." He replies with a slight laugh, causing the girl to smile slightly. She introduces herself. "Makoto Nijima, I'll be guiding you around today." She pauses, continuing shortly after. "Katsumi Amagi, I presume?" The boy, Katsumi, nods in response to her question. "Good, follow me." She spins on her heels and begins to tour around the academy, fifteen minutes later the bell rings for classes to start. "Ah, perfect timing, follow me to your classes."

______

"Holy shit that was boring." Katsumi says as he steps out of the classroom, the sound of chattering and footsteps filling his ears as he walks to the library for some time alone to himself. Once inside he finds himself a study booth and takes a seat next to a boy wearing glasses and a...cat? "Hey, who's that?" A boyish voice asks, the boy looks at you, then back to the cat before shrugging. "Wait, did that cat just talk?" Katsumi thinks, sitting down and trying to ignore it to the best of his ability, however. "Makoto wants to go into Mementos, right Joker?" The boyish voice asks, now gaining Katsumi's full attention. He slides over to the other booth and asks. "Excuse me, what was that about Nijima-san?" Gaining the frizzy haired boy and the cats' attention, Katsumi repeats the question. "I didn't say anything." The boy speaks.
"No, but your cat did." Katsumi's statement catches the pair off guard. "So, stranger, what's your name?" He asks the dark-haired boy.
"It's-" 'Joker' begins before the cat cuts him off, saying they need to leave and bring you along with them. "Wait was he really about to answer that? He's way too trusting." Katsumi ponders before being called over by the odd talking cat.

After following the incredibly strange duo to an obscure café located deep within a back alley, Katsumi lays eyes upon the strangest ensemble of people he had ever seen- minus his old friends. He couldn't tell why but there was something oddly comforting about the group, maybe it was just the smell of coffee? "So, Ren, why'd you bring Amagi with you?" An all too familiar voice asks, Makoto. However, instead of Ren answering the cat does. "He can hear me."
"And? You're just meowing." A blonde male says, not thinking much of it.
"Ryuji! Listen you idiot, he can hear me speaking and ca-" The cat begins, Katsumi cutting him off to finish the sentence. "Can understand him fully, hello Ryuji." The group looks at the hazel eyed boy in awe and fear. "So, are we going to this mementos place?"

______

A subway? A subway with a red tint, is this all mementos was?

That question rattles around Katsumi's mind as he takes in that all too familiar feeling. That tension filled air. That wet-ish floor. The group beside him changing clothes- wait what? "The fuck happened to your clothes?!" He asks in shock, his eyes wandering to Makoto's ass-ets.
"Eyes up here soldier." The student council president swiftly scolds, her ruby red orbs glaring daggers at the Amagi boy. "Joker! Sh-" The cat begins before once again being interrupted by Katsumi. "Shadow! Get down!" He orders, bursting into a sprint after stealing Yusuke's katana, he smacks the shadow with the blade and watches it erupt into its true form. A disgusting creature emerges from the pool of darkness, an owl with a red human body and almost angelic owl wings protruding from its back. "Joker, we have to help him!" The cat cries out, not realizing that 'Joker', Makoto and Ryuji had already rushed to the brave strangers' aid.
"Persona!"
Katsumi's eyes widen. That word, how he longed to hear it be spoken once more without realizing it, it filled him with something he had not felt in months, excitement.
A bolt of lightning hits the shadow from where Ryuji stands firm, a persona behind him with its canon arm aimed at the owl man. "Yeah! Direct hit!"

Katsumi laughs before rushing in once more, slicing at the owl man with speed taking a step back just as Makoto dashes in, kicking and punching the shadow. "Arsene'!" Jokers persona appears behind him, a mask no longer on his face. A ball of pure darkness is thrown from Aresene's hands, barely damaging the creature. In retaliation the owl man flaps his wings forcing the four back with an incredible gust of wind swiftly following up with a slash to Ryuji's chest, knocking him down to the ground.
"Fine, leave it to me!" Katsumi says holding his hand out, a blue tarot card floating above his palm, a cocky grin plastered on his face. "Come forth..." Katsumi crushes the card causing blue flames to fly from around his body forming into a humanoid figure. "ARTORIA!"

[So, uh, first chapter. Yay, I'm not too sure where I'm going with this, I've got a few ideas but it was a spur of the moment thing during a class.]
