Proposal

A/N: I have been obsessed with this song for a very long time. And...I would absolutely die if my partner proposed to me while singing this song...so...here it is

You were exhausted. 

It had been a long day at your job, everyone wanting to talk to you or wanting something from you. And all you wanted was to relax.

You put the key in the door lock as you normally would, however when you opened the door you noticed that all of the lights were turned off.

This may have seemed normal, but today Sebastian was supposed to be home early, and whenever he got home before you he would start making dinner for you both.

When you made your way down the corridor you saw the faint glow of candles and fairy lights trailing along the wall. You followed them because of course you did. If there was one way to abduct you, someone just had to put a trail of fairy lights. You'd follow them anywhere.

But then the music started.

Can't say how the days will unfold,
Can't change what the future may hold

That was Sebastian singing but you couldn't quite tell where his voice was coming from. He sounded beautiful.

This world can race by far too fast
Hard to see while it's all flying past
But, it's clear now,

You opened the door to your bedroom, the last room at the end of the corridor. There was Sebastian, standing in the middle of the room, surrounded by lights and flower petals.

He looked up as he saw you enter the room, stepping forwards, holding your hands in his.

And I could see itRight from the start

As the music began to swell, Sebastian held you close, singing, looking directly into your eyes. The love you had for this man was immense and as you looked at him...you saw everything you wanted, and everything you would ever need.

The music became quiet and Sebastian moved from holding you against him, to facing you, your hands clasped together.

Can't say how the days will unfold
Can't change what the future may hold
But, I want you in it

And that's when Sebastian got down on one knee. 

"Y/N L/N. We've been friends for as long as I can remember. I can pinpoint the exact moment I fell in love with you. I had just told you that you couldn't eat that entire extra large stack of pancakes, and then you were hell bent on proving me wrong. I knew you were always going to challenge me, to push me to be the best I can be. I knew that I was always going to love you. So..." He paused, taking a deep breath "Y/N L/N...will you marry me?"

You felt your eyes starting to prick with tears as you thought about your answer, even though...you already knew what you were going to say.

"Yes."

Sebastian slipped the ring onto your finger and pulled you into the tightest hug, filled with love.

You pulled apart and smiled at each other, giving each other a quick kiss.

"You know...for a moment there I thought you were going to say no."

"Seb!"

A/N - Starting A Levels at school has been a heck of a time and I haven't had much time to do what I love (writing and singing) but I've been trying to find more time for me

AOTU - It was the night after I performed Legally Blonde and I had a dream that we had an after party and for some reason Barack and Michelle Obama showed up. There was a massive pink cake which Michelle decided to cut with a broom handle
