Subject: Home Movies Unaired Episode S4e14
Hello, Jennifer. My name is Robert, but call me Rob or Robbie for short, I had seen your post on Tumblr regarding a very disturbing Home Movies episode about Shannon supposedly killing everyone. At first I thought this was just your average troll post (no offence) that you see online every now and then.... but that was until just a few days ago when I had purchased a VHS tape from a seller known as JJ_Jenkins03 on Ebay. Idk if this is the same person who you bought your tape from but I myself had a similar experience.....
So I got my tape in the mail 3 days ago on 10\7\2020, it was supposed to be a season 4 episode that I had never heard of before titled "You Made Me This Way" and it was recorded 12\28\2004 It didn't have a note that said "Watch at your own risk" like yours did, but my guess is that it was an unfinished or scrapped season 4 episode that probably would have wowed fans of Home Movies. But just like you, I was wrong.
So I cleaned up my VCR, went to the 7\11 to buy some snacks an d a few cold ones, and headed on home to relive my childhood or teenhood in my case. So after gathering some Home Movies merch I had bought off of Ebay many years ago. I grabbed a clapboard from my 10th anniversary boxset and jokingly said "annnnnnd ACTION" before closing the board and setting it on my end table. Before I could reach the remote next to me, the TV turned on by itself. I must have sat on the power button I guess, but I didn't care.
The little Home Movies LOGO popped up but it was....in black and white and had that G-Major audio effect like the outro on yours had. I first thought it was just old age from the tape itself. The screen was black for about 5 seconds before cutting to Brendon's basement and the band SCAB was setting up their equipment. Now ever since I had started watching the show, Duane (I know most people spell it Dwayne but I always used Duane) was always my favorite character in the show. I mean when I was 14 at the time, I had so much in common with the character. It was mostly band related stuff but that doesn't really matter at the moment.
Brendon was talking to SCAB and giving them their scripts and so forth, but Brendon was literally YELLING at the band at every mistake, telling them (more specifically Duane) that he wasn't good enough, the music and line readings were "bullshit" and that he wished that....Duane was dead.... I spit out my soda as I heard those words. Why on God's green earth would Brendon say something that spine chilling to one of his friends\co workers?! It was a bit nerve wracking for me but I managed to stay in my seat without puking.
Duane turned to his band and slammed his guitar through one of the drums, I could tell he wanted to punch a wall or something, he then spoke something that I couldn't really understand too well since the quality was a tad off but what I heard it was something along the lines of "Fine then, Brendon.... You want me dead? Then so be it!" he shouted before slamming the door and trudging home in the heavy rains..... the screen kept flashing with every step, the light kept getting brighter and brighter and it was so bad that I had to grab a pair of sun glasses.
After that, the screen turned black for about 5 more seconds while the sounds of a blood curdling scream that sounded like it would be coming from Duane played on screen while the SCAB logo was animated backwards and the Franz Kafka rock opera played in reverse.....
