**TENSE CHANGE**
Eliza's thoughts on things:
Over time, Koby and I became closer and closer. We shared secrets and did almost everything together. He became a second-brother to me. One of the secrets he shared with me became of much interest to me- he hadn't seen his brother for three years. Apparently one day, he just left, no explanation, just up and out. He had left Koby and his mother to fend for themselves even though he was man of the house at the time. I wished i could help them.
Despite public dsiplays of best-friendedness, we were still hated upon by Courtney and her tribe. A rumour had started that Courtney had a huge crush on Koby and that she stalked him on all of his social medias. It was funny to watch the most popular girl in school fall so hard at a small rumour and even bigger rumours suggested that Courtney's all-time "BFF" Leila started it which pretty much tore their friendship apart.
**TENSE CHANGE**
"seeya later!" I yell to Koby acroos the hall.
He waves his hand "i'll text you tonight!' He shouts back as I run out if the building towards my bus stop. The bus finally rattles down the road and I find my place just as I see Bronte dashing in a mad scurry towards the bus waving her hand frantically to signal for the bus driver to stop. Despite his angry grunts, he stops for the blue-eyed, blonde hair mess to get on.
"Thankyou so much!' she says to the bus driver. He groans.
As she makes her way to the seat I was sitting at, I got a glance at her state. She realy was a mess, her clothes were covered in mud dripping dirty water down the aisle. Her hair, a dirty blonde- literally dirty, i could see dirt etched all the way up to her scalp. Her teeth, still a gorgeous pearly white but a dirty face.
"dont you look stunning?' I comment looking up and down her.
"shut up" she rolls her eyes and drags her bag onto the seat before sitting.
"what happened?" I start to giggle.
"Stop!" she sits back "I had PE last period and let's just say that the coach didn't care that the fields were wet and muddy and thought it was a great idea to play soccer"
"Mm looked fun, hey?"
She rolls her eyes once more and the bus starts up once more.

"Hellooooo?" I yell through the screen door. Normally mum was home at this time in the afternoon. "Crap" i quietly whisper to myself remembering that I left my key in my room.
I make my way to the back of the house and grab a large rock to smash the window with.
"Woah, woah, woah! what do you think you're going to be doing with that?" I hear Nate's voice walking down the driveway.
"well, if you must know dear brother, I am about to smash the window because I forgot my keys and I doubt you have a key" I go to throw the rock when his hand stops me
"For your information, dear sister" He points me a look "I actually do have my key".
Sure enough, he oulls out a silver key out of his pocket.
"Woah" I say chucking the rock in the opposite direction "since when did you become so responsible, hey?"
"Well, actually, I need to be, I'm movin' out!"
I stop walking.
"what?"
"yeah, haha, i found a guy who wants ti move in with me in an apartment not too far from here"
"Do mum and dad know?"
"Nope, not yet, I'm going to spring it on them tonight, how do you think they'll react?"
"well, mum will probably cry because "one of her little baby birds is leaving the nest"" I use bunny fingers "and dad will cheer because you rack up the electricity bills with your crazy ability to make over nine pizzas in the space of an hour and use the oven on like a million degrees"
"fair enough" he says finally unlocking the door.
