Chapter 1

"I exist in two place: Here and where you are..."

It was the middle week in March, everyone in the girls dorm were packing their bags ready to go home in the middle of a semester year because of a possible or already 'pandamic'. And Katie was doing the same, pondering on how much of her belongings to take home.

"Are you starting your packing?" Natelie asked from the door, "Yes just getting ready" Katie replied with a bright smile.

They were both happy that they were able to go home as they wont get chance during the summer breaks as they will have internship. Little do they know how long this going home will last....

"Im not packing anything much at all, only like three sets off pj's. Were coming back after two weeks" Katie told.

"Oh I dont think looking at the condition, plus i want to spend summer at home. I wish we could stay at home the whole year"  Natelie replied as she sat on Katies bed.

Katie laughed at her friend thinking how different they were, thought her friend wanted to go so much she was not that excited to go home. There was nothing much waiting for her there. Not like she was not having a bad family but there were days when she was younger when she used to wish for another family. But hey family is family though you like it or not they rooted you and brought you to where you are. And thats what Katie believed. She was independent type though she had lots of insecurities and have hard time fitting in with people and sometimes feel lonely with her own company she likes to venture away from home. That was the sole reason she went  to college in another city where she knew litterally no one. The first time she came she didn't even know the language the people in the city spoke but that never made her miss home. And inside she wished that even this going home trip would really be for only two weeks. But little did she know that it will be for a whole year.

Natelie said with a huff"I hit someone up this time at home for boyfriend, i'm loney!!"

"Well, get some one handsome" Katie replied.

"No one will match you standards!" Natelie told Katie, "Just lower it a bit and try finding some onewhen you go back!"

Katie just smiled and said, "You know how awkward i am with new people! Its hard to find the right connection"

"Yes that you are! But who said to find new people? You can hit up some old classmates" Natelie told.

"No! Just go to your room and sleep" Katie laughed and said.

"Okay! But im gettimg a biyfriend just so you know" Natelie said and went.

Natelie just continued laughing and said "I hope you get!"

Then closed the luggage bag she was packing and went to her bed.

She took her phone going through her tik tok feed. She told herself to sleep as she have a three hour long flight next day but her feeds were too funny not to watch. She finnaly kept her phone getting and slept as the new day awaits her.
