'Nasaan ka na?'

'Just wait for a minute, malapit na ako.' I hummed in response, ending the call.

I'm standing outside of the airport, waiting for my friend to fetch me. I shivered as the cold breeze touches the warmth of my cheeks. I looked around, getting familiar of the place.

I sighed.

'Ang tagal naman ni Maya'

A few minutes later a black car stopped in front of me and saw a very familiar girl came out of the driver's seat.

It's already been 3 years, huh?

'Kanina ka pa ba naghihintay? Sorry, traffic kasi papunta dito eh' She smiled. I went to the trunk of her car to put my luggages and, immediately went inside in the front passenger seat.

'How's states?' She asked. 'Ayos naman. Everyone was kind and accepting so it wasn't that bad'

She started to drove away from the airport, fixing the volume of the radio.

'Buti naman naisipan mong umuwi? Miss na miss ka na kaya namin, lalo na si Nate' She chuckled.

'Yeah, Kumusta na pala sila?' I asked.

'Ayos naman. Last week, Nico passed the bar exams and André became a well known model here.'

'Si André? Model?' She nodded. 'Ayan, sa sobra kasing busy hindi mo na nalalaman mga ganap namin sa buhay'

'Pero oo, model na siya ngayon. Pagkatapos kasi nating grumaduate ng collage, yung banda nila Kuya Ash lalong sumikat, and guess what? Among the siblings, André stood out the most'

'So I guess his popularity started there, right?' She nodded. 'Eh si Nate? Ano na nangyari sakaniya?'

'Nate? Ayun, he finally know what he wanted after he failed 2 bar exams'

'He failed?' I asked.

'Oo gulat ka no? Pero you don't have to worry, si Nate yan eh. Last month nga nakapagpatayo na siya ng sarili niyang café, at ngayon lalo pang lumalaki'

Sa tatlong taon na nawala ako, hindi ko inaasahan na ang daming pangyayari.

'Eh ikaw Maya, Kumusta ka na?' I asked.

The color of the stoplight turned into red, making us to stop. She looked at me and let out a fake smile. As I looked at her, It was the same expression I saw that day.
