Chapter nine: regaining friendships and unexpcted letters

"Oh mills" Blaise said softly while hugging me "let's not do this here, let's skip dinner and head to the common room" he added and I nodded so we got up and started walking to the common room and I continued crying while Blaise got us into the Slytherin common room "mills I don't think sky would believe that" he said softly again and I wiped my tears "you weren't there Blaise she wouldn't look at me I tried but she refused to look at me and the look she gave pansy" I said trying not to sob "Mila, Skyla has known you her whole life do you really think she would believe a stupid rumor that pansy made up that she knew would hurt Skyla?" He asked "she believed a rumor before Blaise" I said looking at him and his face fell because he knew I was talking about his rumor about draco "look Mila what I done was wrong I get that, I don't understand how or why she believed me but I highly doubt she would believe pansy" Blaise said then we heard the common room door open and saw Skyla walk in and looked confused and guilty when she saw me crying and Blaise hugging me and she sighed and walked over towards us "move over Zabini" Skyla said and Blaise let go of me and moved and Skyla took his spot and started hugging me and I started sobbing again "I will let you girls talk" I heard Blaise say softly then I heard the common room door open and shut and realised that he left "Millie, I didn't believe what pansy said" Skyla said softly while softly moving my hair out of her face and I looked up at her "then why wouldn't you look at me?" I say making sure that she could hear the pain in my voice and she sighed "because I was angry and I know you hate it when people are angry, trust me Mila I've known you my whole life I know you would never do anything to hurt me" she said and hugged me tighter "I'm sorry Millie" she added "it's ok sky, I really thought you hated me" I confessed and she looked at me with a small smile "I could never hate you Mila, your my little sister" she said while giving me a playful push. We then walked into our dorm and I saw a note on my bed so I opened it "Dearest Mila Walker, I know you don't want anything to do with us but please Mila we need to talk we were protecting you, I know you don't want to hear that but we were. We loved you with our whole hearts Mila Rose Walker you made us feel happiness for the first time in years it hurt me so bad when I had to leave you with Bethany and lance but I wanted to protect you. Please try to talk to us Mila we have to explain ourselves, love tamatha (mum)" I read in my head "so who's it from?" Skyla asked snapping me out of my thoughts "uh m-my birth parents" I stutter a bit while looking at her "well what did they want?" She asked trying to get more information "they want me to talk to them so they can explain why they left me" I say and throw the letter in the bin "what? Are you really not going to try Mila?" Skyla said shocked "sky imagine your parents left you when you were young and took then 12 years to contact you" I snapped "Mila I get that but all you can do is try maybe not for them maybe for you so you can see why they left you and why they "protected you" Mila all they want is for you to try, doesn't mean you have to like it" Skyla said "fine I will think about it" I said and she smiled "not for them though it's for me, to see if they are who I think they are and to see why they left" I said giving up which made Skyla nod.
