marisol felt that it was right for her to tell her mother that she was pregnant.
she been in her bedroom for the last couple of days and her mom was starting to get worried.
"uh.. mom," marisol quietly said causing her mom to look up from the news paper.
"what is it, honey?" she asks and takes off her glasses and places them on the coffee table. her mother pats a space on the couch and marisol sits down next to her.
"i need to tell you something but you have to promise you won't get mad.."
her mother sighs. "okay," she nods. "i promise i won't get mad."
marisol sighs before she lets it all out.
"i'm pregnant. i took three pregnancy tests the other day and they all came out positive.. i'm so sorry mom." she breaks down crying again.
her mother sat there stunned. she gulped before bringing her daughter in for a hug and rubbing her head. "it's okay.." her mom reassured but deep down her mother was disappointed and angry.
"who's the father?"
marisol sniffles and wipes her nose. "alejandro.."
"your best friend alejandro?"
marisol nodded.
it went quite. her mom, romina didn't say anything. she was to busy thinking on what she could do.
"i've got a plan," romina sighs and looks down at marisol. "we move away to california.."
marisol shot up from leaning on her mother. "what? no," she shakes her head. "i-i can't move away from my friends.. i-i can't do that to them. mom.. alejandro is going to be the dad to my baby... he deserves to know."
"marisol! would you rather have him know and hold you back from leaving or not tell him and leave and you'll be able to live your life how you want to live your life! you'll have nobody holding you back!" her mom snaps.
marisol stands up and shakes her head.
"i have a baby mom.. the baby will be the one that's holding me back not alejandro!"
the next thing that marisols mother said shocked her to the point were air got caught in her throat.
"then get an abortion!"
