(FLASHBACK: Autumn is 16 and Freya is 21 years old in this timeline)
I just got back home from school and was about to head up to my room, when my brother, Hunter, approached me.
"Hey sis, are you joining the party tonight?"
I looked at him with suspicion "Party? What party?"
"I'm having a party tonight. I've invited all of my friends from university." He said before asking the maid to prepare something for the party
"What? You're having a party again? I'm telling mom and dad" I said irritated and attempted to threaten him.
"Go ahead, mom and dad just left. They are attending a week-long medical conference in Germany." He said while poking out his tongue.
Our parents are often not around because they were both world renowned doctors. My brother always takes the opportunity to party at our house, whenever they are gone.
He said the purpose of his parties was stress relief. I wasn't able to argue with him because he is currently in the last year of his pre-med and I could only imagine the stress that comes with the workload.
Obviously, he's aiming to be a doctor, just like our parents. So, it's kind of expected that I was also going on that route. But, I'm not really sure yet, I don't think it's really me, you know?
I knew that I probably wanted to become a medical researcher in the future rather than a physician.
I didn't really like interacting with people.
I'm a major introvert.
I'm the most introvert of introverts.
My thoughts for my future were cut off by my brother.
"Anyways, you should be thanking me for this party, you know?"
"Huh? Why?" I said confused.
"I've invited Freya." He said while smirking.
"Freya's coming?!" I said in joy.
"Yeah, the one and only love of your life." He continued.
I was suddenly very excited for this party then I started to panic.
"Why didn't you tell me sooner? I've got to get ready." I said while slapping his arm.
"Do you really still like her until now? It's never going to work out, you know that, right? Besides, you are far from her type."
I glared at him. "Shut up! Nothing is impossible. Someday, I'm going to make it happen, you'll see." I said enthusiastically then hurried back to my room to get ready.
When I finally finished making myself presentable, I was already hearing music playing downstairs.
I decided to just wait for a while to go down to the party.
Freya always arrived late for parties so I didn't want to go downstairs for nothing.
I really missed Freya. I haven't seen her since I was thirteen years old. She used to always come over our house to hang out with my brother. Then they entered college.
Whenever I asked about her, Hunter said that she was extremely busy with school and girls so they weren't able to hang out that much.
I realized that I had a crush on her at an early age.
Now that I'm sixteen, I wanted to confess my love to her. I didn't want to have any regrets so I am building up the courage to finally do it.
However, as my brother said, I knew that I wasn't her type of girl. Aside from the fact that I was five years younger than her, the type of girls that I've seen with her, were the ones with the pretty face and a rockin' body.
