Is it a crime to be happy,
is it a crime to show a smile?
Is it a crime to be angry,
is it a crime to cry?
But you've gotta remember
that it's not a crime;
to laugh, to cry, to live
is it a crime to embrace
what I'm feeling?
Is it a crime to help
someone you don't know?
Is it a crime to believe in people?
Is it a crime to give
them a second chance?
I think that people believe that it is,
cause most people nowadays
don't even allow themselves to feel.
To laugh, to cry, to smile,
they believe that it would be a crime.
Have you ever seen a teen walking down
the street with a smile to beat the hate?
Have you ever seen a person
showing their emotions in a public place?
Is it a crime to act like a human being;
to show that you have a heart.
Is it a crime to think that there could
be more to life than merely living.
Is it a crime to think that we were
sent here for a reason?
I know that sometimes it's better
to hide what you're feeling.
But it's mostly better
to let somebody in.
To let somebody, know your feelings,
to know your mistakes,
to let somebody help you.
I know that it's hard to let somebody in,
I know that it's hard to find the right person.
But you can't give up until you do.
And you can't say that's impossible,
before you even try.
