Ashildr was becoming a natural at piloting the tardis. Especially, Clara thought, because there wasn't a teacher like the doctor to show her how. Things were going well enough, they'd yet to cause a paradox and yet to destroy time itself.

Ashildr was relieved she had clara with her, rather than the doctor, as clara was the only person in all of time and space who didn't despise the immortal. Sure, her kids that died Thousands of years ago loved her, but no one else did. She didn't have any friends other than the sort-of-immortal, and she couldn't help feel guilt at the fact it was her fault Clara was technically dead.

The doctor despised her so much that he broke reality and stayed in his own personal hell for Billions of years to save her. Ashildr knew how painful it was for Clara, having her best friend, perhaps even more, she'd never know, forget any trace of her completely must be devastating.

She knew heartbreak. She knew brokenness. She wished she could save clara from it but the only way to do that was to erase her memories too, and ashildr had seen first hand the feisty schoolteacher would rather die first.

Now, they exited the tardis in 2013 Cardiff, clara grinned. 'Always wanted to visit around here, hopefully not being chased or about to be killed.' Ashildr laughed. 'Don't say that just yet, pray we don't have the doctor's unluckiness.'

'Unlucky sorta describes him, doesn't it?' Clara mused to herself. She was now in jeans and a clean plaid shirt. Ashildr was in a similar outfit, but with a blue sweatshirt on. 'Your time's clothing is much more comfortable than mine.' Ashildr said.

'Oh I know, I Don't know how you lived through those uncomfortable outfits.' Clara laughed. Ashildr smiled. 'Me either.'

A figure was following them curiously. Clara nor Ashildr noticed. He was wearing a long coat and had short brown hair. Ashildr knew his name, not his face.

Jack followed the two for some time, before deciding to wait in the tardis. The ship seemed to grumble as he climbed aboard, but did not kick him out or chase him with hologram cheetahs.

It was a different ship, he realized with a jolt. But the timelords were gone? Or was this the new doctors tardis and one of the women he saw was the doctor?

He dismissed part of it. The doctor was very keen on dressing up his tardis, and it got more and more extraordinary each time.

It was some time before the door opened and the two walked back in. The taller one, with brown hair and eyes that turned to ice as they spotted him. "Who are you?! How did you get in here!?" She demanded.

The smaller woman, with kinder eyes and brown hair, held her arm in front of her friend. 'Wait.' She seemed to tell her with her gaze. Jack held his hands up. "I'm guessing I was right in the idea neither of you are the doctor?"

Jack asked. The smaller woman stepped forward. "You know the doctor?" She was british. Of course she was- the doctor nearly always had British human companions.

Jack put his hands down. "I traveled with him very briefly. His tardis didn't like me, though." He laughed slightly at that memory.

"Why didn't his tardis like you?" The taller woman asked, slightly less hostile.
Jack huffed something about not being a circus animal, but took out his pistol and shot himself in the stomach. The two women gasped as he collapsed, but a second later he gasped and sat up, his wound very much gone.

The taller woman's eyes widened. "You're immortal- that's why the tardis didn't like you, right?"

Jack nodded. "So- that would make you Captain jack harkness, wouldn't it?"

Jack smiled, but it was a half smirk half smile. "So he did talk about me!"

The smaller woman laughed and held out her hand. "I'm Clara, Clara oswald. And this is Ashildr." Ashildr huffed at her original name but didn't protest.

"Captain Jack harkness at your service. So how did you get another tardis?"

"Gallifrey- The doctor infiltrated it and saved clara and was trying to protect her but lost his memories of her in the process."

Jack's eyes narrowed. "The timelords are alive?"

"In a small little bubble almost. Clara is technically-'' she looked at clara wearily. Clara didn't even blink. "I'm technically dead. Frozen between one heartbeat and the next, but I wanted to have more adventures first. And we have a time machine, so why not?"

"So we basically have a tardis with three immortals in it?" Jack asked, an eyebrow raised slightly.

"Technically." Ashildr answered.
"Well- looking for another companion?" He asked, a smile on his lips. Ashildr looked at clara and shrugged. "Sure, why not?" She answered.
