Over the summer, Hitoshi's and yours relationship strengthened. You haven't told him about your acceptance into the hero course however. You didn't wanna hurt his feelings or disappoint him. Hitoshi had really opened up to you. He told you about his insecurities and how he was bullied when he was younger. You didn't reveal much of your life to him however. You were unsure how he would react if you told him anything about your mom. He only knew she was sick and in the hospital because of it. Todo and Hitoshi didn't get along very well, so you did your best to keep distance between the two. Your first day of high school was in a week, so you began to spend more time at your own house than at Hitoshi's apartment.
You stared outside the coffee shop window as Hitoshi rambled on about some new game he was playing. You weren't particularly listening to him despite having an interest in video games as well. You sighed before turning to look into your cup of coffee on the table. Furrowing your brows, you stared hard into the cup.
"Hey, Yoshi.." You interrupted him.
"Yes? Kitten?" Hitoshi responded, looking concerned.
"My dad... he convinced the principal at UA to enroll me in the hero course." You said bluntly, searching his indigo eyes for his thoughts.
"Oh..." Hitoshi said after a few moments of silence.
"I don't know how he did it, but he did it. I didn't ask him to, he just said he got it changed when I moved in. He said it would be bad publicity for him if one of his kids weren't in the hero course. He didn't want me to bring him any embarrassment or bash from the media. I'm really sorry.." You rambled on, trying to prove that you had no say in the matter.
"Why didn't you tell me sooner? Why didn't you tell him no?" Hitoshi looked down, sounding hurt.
"You know how my dad is... no one can say no to him. And I didn't tell you because I was scared if hurting you." You responded, the guilt setting in.
"You didn't think hiding it from me wouldn't hurt me? It was going to hurt no matter what. What made you thinking telling me only a week before school would be any better?" Hitoshi sounded angry and hurt.
"I-" You began but were but off.
"Save it. You've been hiding way more than that from me. You never tell me anything. You never have told me anything besides the basics. Is this a game to you? Am I just a toy?" Hitoshi snapped, he stood up and left the shop.
You sat there, a singular tear fell down your cheek. You didn't go after him. What good would that do anyways? What would you have to say that would change his mind? He was right after all. You hid your whole life almost from him. He had a right to be angry. So you looked out the window again. You weren't looking at anything in particular, until something caught your attention. A small scuffle at the start of an alley way. You watched for a few seconds before deciding to go help the older lady who was being hassled.
"Hey! What're you doing?!" You shouted at a cloaked man, his back was to you so you couldn't see his face.
