The second nurse in blue scrubs smiled at me "Is this your boyfriend?" Emilia and I laughed looking at each other "No, no, no I'm just the boy who brought her here, I'm Daniel nice to meet you" the nurses smiled perfectly in time with each other so the words "Nice to meet you too" were synced.
The nurse sat on the bed in front of Emilia "Do you want him to stay for this or?" She smiled, Emilia smiled looking at me "You can stay if you want" I chuckled nervously "I'd love to stay but I think I should get us both some breakfast, how does that sound?" Emilia pouted "I can't eat but can you get me a cup of hot chocolate?" I smiled nodding, I walked out of the room downstairs and into the city.
While Daniel was in the city grabbing a few things for himself and Emilia back at the hospital Emilia was getting the care she needed from the nurses to get better. Both nurses smiled, the nurse in bright pink scrubs spoke up flicking the syringe "Okay Emilia do you want to hold Julie's hand or are you okay?" Emilia smiled taking nurse Julie's hand tightly.
Julie smiled softly "You have a tighter grip than yesterday that's good, you seem to be getting better fast" Emilia giggled "That's because I have the best nurses though". The nurse in pink scrubs smiled softly "Okay Emilia I'm going to give you your morphine first, you know what happens you'll feel a scratch" Emilia nodded closing her eyes tightening her grip.
Daniel was trying to decide whether to get a bear for Emilia or a rabbit, he whined grabbing both "Girls are difficult to buy for" he giggled walking to the checkout putting the basket up. The cashier smiled scanning random items out of the basket putting it in a bag for him, she broke the silence with a friendly smile and genuine "So how are you today?" Daniel smiled getting out his wallet "I'm good how are you? Been busy today?" The cashier nodded pushing out a small 'mhm' "That's 15 pounds and 37 pence please" she looked up at him from the cash register giving him a small gentle smile
