[Joeys POV]
"BRITTANY"
I hear nothing
"BRIT!"
Nothing again
I decided to get up from my bed and look for her
"Brit? Where are you?"
I walk downstairs and look everywhere
"Brittany come on its not funny! My parents are out and.. WHERE IS NICOLE?"
there was only one place left to check......
The basement
I never really cared about the basement, me and Brittany always used to go down when we're film 'movies' so there was no problem but.... this time.... It felt.... creepy like something wants me to go down.... I decided to go anyways
"Nicole? B...Brittany?"
I see a faint light in the distance
I start to crawl my way because the ceiling isn't really high
"H....hello? Who's there? Brit? Nicole?"
I hear something shift near the light
"GUYS THIS ISN'T FUNNY STOP PLEASE"
when I said that the exact moment the little light went out
I wanted to know what that was so I went closer, soon to hear 2 heavy foot steps running up and shutting the door..... and.... locking?
Feeling a bit scared still I went closer and found..... a note?
*note*
"To find the glowing light,
You have to wait until the sky, is showing night"
I check my watch
"5:00..... only a few more minutes until sun down"
I went up the stairs to find the door opening revealing...
Brit:"Hey Joey"
"Where the heck have you been? Where's Nicole?"
Brit:"we were sitting outside, we heard you but thought you were smart enough to look outside"
Wow why didn't I look outside.....
"Oh okay....."
Only 2 more minutes
Brit:"hey Joey I gotta go I'm sorry... Happy birthday though!"
"No wait Brit please! Your the only one besides Nicole who's actually here to celebrate it!"
1 more minute
Brit:"Joey please! Let go!"
She manages to get out of my death grip of sadness and runs outside
"Oh w...well"
I walk upstairs to my room
I start to cry softly so Nicole doesn't hear
She's the best sister anyone could have. She's over protective though, so I tend not to cry around her cause she goes crazy when I do..
I look at my watch..... 5:20
I go back downstairs making sure to wipe my face off from tears
As I walk down I see all the lights are off and there are more glowing lights in the distance
I start to walk towards it only to be stepping on my outdoor cat pookie

"Pookie what are you-"
I lift up pookie to see a tiny wrapped up present
"Ha well at least you remembered"
I open it up
"HUH!! NO WAY"
I take my present out of the box and shine it everywhere, exposing a red dot to point wherever I go
"A LASER POINTER, YES!"
I heard shuffling being me
"He...hello?"
I manage to rapidly flick my laser over to the lights exposing a human figure
"N....nicole? I... is that you?"
The lights turn on
Brit+nicole"HAPPY 15TH BIRTHDAY JOEY"
WHAT?
"BRIT I THOUGHT YOU LEFT"
Brit"Haha I wouldn't leave on your birthday! I had to be downstairs before "the sky shows night"
" That was both of you?!"
Brit+Nicole"YUP"
"thanks guys you are the best!"
We all sit down and easy cake that had the words 'Happy 15th birthday Joseph!'
I didn't mind my full name was on the cake but when people are talking about me and use my full name, I go crazy
Yes that's my birth name but I really hate it, it annoys me really badly and I don't know why. Ever since I wanted people to call me Joey
We all finish eating or cake, leaving some for mom and dad when they come back..... from the bar
Nicole"Joey there is one more present from me! The laser pointer was from Brit"
"Okay what is it"
Nicole"put your shoes on guys we are going to laser dome!"
OMG NO WAY
"SERIOUSLY NICOLE?!?!"
Nicole"Let's go if you want to make it to your party time! I set it up! LET'S GO!"
I rush to put my shoes on
"Ready!"
Nicole"ALRIGHT laser dome here we come!"
