Family

Carrying Jimin on his back, Jungkook can hear the guy's gently beating heart through his muscular back. And on the other hand, the younger's heart is beating at the speed of 850 BPM.

- I can hear my own heart pounding out of my chest... lucky that Jimin can't hear it... if so I'm going to dig a hole for myself and climb into it.

Jungkook talked to himself, thinking that Jimin isn't able to hear him but he actually did. The older trying to hold in his silent laugh.

"His heart is beating really fast. I can hear it through his back..."

A cold breeze goes pass them, making Jungkook shivered, he grinds his teeth against each others.

"Cold?"

Jimin thought to himself and attempted to hug Jungkook's neck tighter.

- Jimin...?

"Warmer?"

- Are you keeping me warm?

Jungkook asked with a smile on his face. His big hand reaches over to ruffle the older's soft blonde hair.

Jungkook starts blushing to himself and walking slowly as if he wants to keep this moment a little longer.

- Jimin-ah. I know that you can't hear me at all, but I still want to talk to you like this.

The sleepiness starts to hit Jimin's brain system, he rests his head on the guy's shoulder. Jimin feels so comfortable, he can only think of falling asleep.

- When I was young, once I visited an orphanage in France with my parents. We met a lot of kids but there was this one kid, he is Korean like us so I paid all of my attention to him.

Jungkook's whispers to himself since he knows Jimin won't be able to hear him anyway.

When Jungkook was seven, he met a new friend, his name was Jung Hoseok. Jungkook was a rich and quiet kid, therefore, he didn't have any friends. And Hoseok was his first ever friend. Hoseok was the one who taught Jungkook how to behave, be kind to people and have a normal childhood like any other kids. One day, Jungkook was so excited to meet his best friend but he was not there anymore. His mom said that from then on, Hoseok would have a new family and maybe one day, they will be able to meet again.

"Jung Hoseok...?"

With Jimin last energy, he breathes out into Jungkook's neck, making him chills.

- I really want to meet him again... I'm guessing he looks really handsome now.

Jungkook glances to his right.

- S-So close!

Jimin looks so peaceful when he sleeps.

- God is so unfair why is such a lovely person has to carry so much on his shoulders. It's so unfair Jimin-ah...

Jungkook's nose feels tingle, he feels like crying. He feels so sad for Jimin. If only he can be the one taking care of Jimin and giving him the best things he deserves.

- Can I... take care of you?

Jungkook smiles as he hears Jimin's evenly breathing.

Finally, they arrive at Jimin's house. Jungkook realizes, he doesn't have the key and Jimin is peacefully sleeping. He doesn't want to wake him up.

Jungkook gently puts Jimin down onto the doorsteps. Trying to find a spare key under the doormat or plant pot.

Suddenly, the door swings open...

- Jimin?

In a surprise, Jungkook looks up to see a guy with messy jet black hair. He has a very strong floral scent, seems like he has just gotten out of the shower.

- Jimin? Who are you?

- I'm Jimin's employee. He's very tired so I take him home.

Jungkook answers as he looks down at Jimin, the guy is slowly waking up.

- Jimin!

- He can't hear, you know?

The guy said after Jungkook's voice.

- I know...

Jimin wipes his sleepy eyes, squinting a little bit at the light coming inside his house.

He looks up at the guy, Jungkook sees he is smiling very fondly at Jimin.

- Um... can i ask, who are you? Why are you in his house?

- Me? I'm Jimin's family.

Family?

Something about this man makes Jungkook feels like he has met him before.

Jimin stands up and walks to the door.

- Very sleepy huh?

The guy pulls Jimin's head to rest on his shoulder making Jungkook clenches his hands.

- Thank you for taking Jimin home safely. It's very late, you should head home yourself too.

Jungkook tried to say something but Jimin turns around and make a little bow at him.

- Uh... I'm going home now. Good night Jimin... and you too.

Jungkook walks off to the distance. Mumbles to himself.

- Family... Jimin has his own little family? He doesn't need me, right?
