Shattered Hearts
and a Bloody Ballgown.

The nerves overtook the young man as he walked down the steps in his beautiful gown. His heart beat painfully as the people of his fathers kingdom gasped. They certainly did not expect Prince Louis to walk down in a ballgown. The people of Faraway laughed at the young male. Tears ran down his rosy cheeks as he fled from the palace. The sounds of laughter and his heels clicking as he ran filled the empty corridors. The prince was not expecting this reaction from his soon-to-be people.

It began to pour, just his luck. With a boom and a crash the lightning flashed around him. Prince Louis ran faster into the woods, had already lost one of his golden heels. Little Lou didn't go back for his heel. The only thing in his mind was 'Run, get away. Keep running.' Thats what the Prince did, he ran. His once golden dress was covered in mud and leaves. Most people might think that the spoiled prince was overreacting. What most didn't know is that Louis was forced to be someone he wasn't. He was forced to hide the fact that he liked his hair done up with bows and to wear his mother's heels. He wanted to show the world who he was, the world just laughed in his face. All of this came crashing down on the poor boy.

The branches of trees slashed at his arms and face making tiny red droplets appear on his flushed skin. In a strange way Louis still was the most beautiful man in the kingdom, even running through the dense, disgusting woods. The once graceful prince tripped over a root and fell to the ground. He had lost his remaining shoe and scrapped his knees. Louis got back up and started to run again, he wasn't sure why he was still running, it just kind of happened.

At this point the king had ordered his men to after his son. The King didn't really care what happened to the poor boy, he just wanted to keep his image of a good father. His father was one of the main reasons that Louis had to hide. It was a disgrace to the Tomlinson men! The Tomlinson men where the fearless nights in all the story books you have ever read as a young child. Louis could die out there and King Mark would not give a care in the world. Louis knew this, maybe that's why he kept running. The young prince stumbled further into the woods, it was dark but at least the rain had stopped. He halted his steps when he came to a meadow. It looked almost unaffected by the harsh storm. It was then that Louis noticed how much his feet hurt, how much blood was on his gown, and most of all, how shattered he felt. His heart seemed to have been broken into millions of miniscule pieces. Louis went on his hands and knees, crawling to the center of the meadow. There he wept, the young man looked up at the stars through the tears. The sobs ripped through his chest painfully, until they slowly died into pathetic whimpers as the prince drew his last breath. His cerulean eyes staying open, unseeing to the world.

The kings men found the prince close to sunrise, his eyelashes still clumped together from his tears. The bravest man, Harry, carefully stepped up to the forever sleeping boy. He closed Louis eyelids, kissing each one, before picking him up and walked back to castle wordlessly.
