As Alex went through her day she sat in the back by the window of all her classes and hardly said a word. She would speak small phrases at times but quietly. The Day went by just as quickly as it cane and she was home again.
"How was your day Alex? Make any friends?" , her mom was in her room as usual.
"Quiet and quick as usual...and who doesn't want to be the new girls friend?" Alex had to reply quickly as she ran upstairs to the safety of her room. She grabbed her phone sat on her bed and started talking to her friends. After a while she went through her nightly routine and layer down on bed reading her book. She didn't know how or when but she fell asleep. Alex woke up the next morning to her mom calling for her to wake. She groaned as she groaned as she called back
"I'm up!"
Alex went through her morning routine and then pulled on some skinny jeans, her converse, a tank-top, a T-shirt and her hoodie then went down stairs.
"You should really straighten your hair Alex, or at least leave it down. You look beautiful with it down" Her mom always pushed with the hair subject.
"Again mom, your arguing with a brick wall here." She mocked her mother as she grabbed her bag and went out the door. She walked to school and went to homeroom when girl walked in. She never notices anyone but this girl stuck out to her. The girl had a black hoodie on, her hair dyed black with blue tips and done down and her bangs swyed across her forehead as if the wind was still blowing, her glasses where black and looked neat, and her jeans were skinny. She never talked, that much Alex knew, and she was small, skinny small, but in a way Alex thought she was beautiful. The girl sat next to Alex and turned to her.
"Your the new girl right?" The girl asked,
Alex gave a nod, too afraid that if she said anything shed screw up this chance.
"I'm Eli, short for Elizabeth. You are?" Eli sounded nice but in her own way outgoing.
"I-im Alex, short for Alexandria," Alex stutterd some and kicked herself for it.
"What classes do you have? Can I see your schedule?" Eli put her hand out with a small smile.
Alex nodded once again and dug into her bag grabbing her crinkled schedule and giving it to Eli. Eli looked over it and smiled
"Well new girl, we have 4 more classes together. So that's 5 out of 8 classes we get to talk, and lunch is included. Find me and I'll help out around." With her slight smile and a push of her glasses she turned and looked at the teacher walking in.
Alex smiled a little and thought that she finally had a friend that didn't want to take advantage of her being new and turn her against others. As the day went by Alex and Eli talked, mainly Eli though. And at the end of the day, they exchanged numbers and went there separate ways to home. Alex went to her room and grabbed her phone quickly putting in the number but didn't text or call. She didn't want to be pushy so she waited until Eli called or texted and she did. Alex was excited she had a new friend and couldn't wait till the next day. Little did Alex know, she was in for a horrible day tomorrow.
