Author's Note: the bold letters (at the end of the chapter) are the words Serkan wrote in his letter for Eda. She replays them on her head, that particular moment.

"Serkan? Why are you drawing feathers? And.... Is that a sky full or flowers instead of stars?"

"Engin what are you talking about?"

The blonde man lifted his head and frowned at his friend. The dark mahogany table that divided the two men was covered in files and more drawings, of buildings this time. Engin took the chair that was closer to Serkan and instead of explaining, he placed the paper on the centre of the desk. He looked at Serkan as realisation dawned on him and he blanched.

"That.... I made a mistake. Those are personal. The right documents are here, just give me a moment to find them...."

"It's okay. Send them with Leyla later. It's not urgent, anyway."

Serkan nodded and without a second glance, took the red pencil and went back to his project.

Engin lingered in his chair for a moment, though.

It's been four years and anyone would think that Serkan Bolat stayed the same. Same polished three pieced costumes, rigid posture and cold personality in the office. Yet, there was a small change that bothered Engin a lot. Serkan's eyes were filled with more sadness as the years went by.

"I am glad you started drawing again, my friend. Those are amazing."

"Thank you."
The reply came automatically yet it lacked any enthusiasm. The dark haired man sighed.

"What time is your meeting with Raul? Do you want me to come with you?"

When Serkan looked at him this time his eyes glinted. It was a look Engin didn't see often nowadays.

"The meeting is in two hours but I have to leave shortly. Raul wants to meet in Bosporus, he sent me the location of the hotel he is staying. And no, Engin. Go home. I got this."

"But...."

"Engin, I swear Piril made you a workaholic too. Stop worrying. Raul is a friend, not just a partner."

"Ok, ok, I am going. Give him my greetings. And who knows maybe the next time, it will be us going to Italy. Now that would be interesting."

Serkan sent a sharp gaze towards his longtime friend and rolled his eyes as the other man got out of the office with quick steps. He was once again left alone.

His thoughts strayed to a big eyed girl with a star tattoo and long curls that always smelled of flowers. Was she happy now? He wondered. He always wondered.
The dark celestial feathers in the drawing that Engin put on the desk a couple minutes ago, felt like they were mocking him.
