who would've known that day. that day you couldn't have prepared for even if you tried. you --were fine, calm, almost okay. something missing but nothing to miss. and there he was. a light.

it was just another day at school. just like the days before. everyday seemed the same and you didn't know what you wanted. what you didn't have. as you entered your maths class you noticed someone new was in the class. you'd heard some rumours that there was a new student in your year but most of the times this happens it never means much. but there he was. someone so intriguing, ethereal almost.
as you sat down you found yourself sat next to this unknown person. he hadnt seemed to make a fuss since he arrived but almost everyone in the class was aware of his entrance. as you sat down, he looked up at you and gave you a small smile. he didn't seem to feel like all these eyes were on him. "hi, I'm y/n." you mumbled, "you're new right? I've never seen you before."
he nodded ever so slightly, "yeah i just moved here, I'm Jimin." he smiled again, his brown sparkling eyes looked up at you through his eyelashes. he had this air about him that made you feel comforted. it was overwhelming just being in his presence.
after that, you didn't talk much, he seemed to be quite diligent with his studies and although you had so much you wanted to ask him, you felt it would be rude to spring upon him with all these questions. maybe another day, you tell yourself.
