Soooo.... Hi? My first fanfic novel, and I love the spy school series so I thought I would try to make one. Comment what you think! I don't own these names, they are all from Stuart Gibbs. There is a little bit more gory (people getting shot at times) and maybe some romantic thoughts so prob 13+ i guess?
CHAPTER ONE: CALL TO ACTION
{Erica Daisy Hale Age 15}

I knew about the operation before the Principal was even awake. Of course, when I wake up, most people are going to bed. I was in my room at the time, reviewing the math of a Slavovik ST-4 nuclear missile against a defending Tomahawk KRM-86 surface-to-air missile when a small electronic ping noise interrupted my thoughts. It came from my father's computer downstairs, of course. It was classified as a code green level 2 emergency alert.
That piqued my interest. Usually all he got were confirmation of subscription alerts. From there, it was easy to tap into my talents and sneak downstairs. Dad, of course, was passed out cold on the couch. Just as a test, I purposely step on the one squeaky stair. In the night, the sound should have woken every bird for a mile. My dad's only reaction is a huge snore. Figures. On the kitchen table, the laptop is already opened to email. I click on the alert and read it.
Hmm, Operation Rattlesnake. Must be re-using a name. Wait a second. Ben being targeted for assasination(do they even need to write that?) Ben test subject of illegal drug Y-2x. Surprisingly, it doesn't ring a bell. I flip to the information page. As I read, it surprises me more and more. Apparently, this drug implants false memories. A blip of information makes my blood freeze. Informatints say Agent to be used as a double agent.
I almost gasp in surprise. Ben? A double agent? Practically impossible. He'd be done the first time in the field. Not to be pessimistic, but he has the survival skills of a moth in a cricket farm.
Why not assasination? But trying to convert Ben into a double agent, that never worked.
Focus, I tell myself. Mission now.
I read some more. This time, we're up against Vagabond. High stakes criminal organization. Full of rich people doing shady business dealings, mercenaries looking for a thicker paycheck, deserters and retired spies, it's not exactly the place for the family vacay. I return my attention to the file.
Given that it's July and school just ended, this mission is something we don't see everyday. Mission participants. Ben, Mike, Zoe and me. A core group of four, because four kids with two adults entering a foreign country is bound to raise some eyebrows.

My father spilled the beans during breakfast.
"It's a mission," he states. "Dealing with Vagabond.
We've got reliable intel that they're experimenting with a type of drug that changes the victim's mind. Basically, they implant false memories that make the victim believe in whatever they choose to put in the drug."
"What's it called?" I ask, pretending to not know.
"Y2-x. Developed by the Iranian military, singly banned by the geneva convention."
